Ok so why is the card called a twin froz? and you mention don't try this because it wont work? I'm lost on that comment :fear:

The card isn't called Twin Frozr, the Thermal design is. My comment was regarding people who tried to take the cooler of a GAMING card and stick it on a reference design, that will not work since the PCB is different.

And why no amd logo? what is the real difference from the reference pcb to your msi one?
Because it's a custom card, mostly in the power design, for lower temps

How many layer pcb is it?
Pretty sure all current 290's are 10 layer, this might change in the near future

And please tell me the card has zero sag when installed in the case!
I think the only way to achieve this would be with a complete titanium frame around it! :p But with the heatsinks on both sides and connection to I/O plate, it should be minimum.

Well ya gota give them kudos for trying lol

And the power design can you say for certainty its better then reference?

And 10 layers I hope you guys dont take away from the thickness of the PCB

And titanium lol.... ok now your fucking with me haha

I just hope the $1283.97 for two cards is going to be worth it!

My last 2 MSI card's has been rock solid and I pray these new two will be the same.

In most ways it's better than reference.

Just imagine MSI Gaming Ti :p

What are you going to do with the cards, just game? you only have a 24" screen

I'm pretty enjoying it myself :p

ah, that explains the demand for power, I just checked your system specs and it only said 24".

CNY shutdown is only for about a week, so that's not an issue as we can logistically plan around the biggest part of that.. the challenge right now is just Supply < Demand.

Can you tell me the load voltage on these cards?

When I had the HIS 290 god only knows how glad I was to get rid of it but MSI AB showed mv I believe in the voltage slider rather then actual voltage.
My msi R7970 shows voltage but the 290's read different and I dont understand what the actual voltage would be if I moved the slider up in power

The voltage on the new R9 cards scales with temperature at least on the Gigabyte models. +200mv in Trixx will yield something along these lines:
upto 60C° +200mv = 1.4v
61-70C° + 200mv = 1.35v
71-80C° + 200mv = 1.3v/1.283v
81-90C° + 200mv = 1.25v
91-95C° +200mv = 1.2v
Stock voltage starts at 1.2v bellow 60C° and stops at 1.05v at 90C°
Again this is for the WF3 cards but I do believe that something similar will be true for all cards and you can always check by using a digital multimeter on the legs of an output capacitor.

Well post some pics when you can; don't leave us hanging any longer...

And a little off topic yet not, it's easy to tell neliz not to go to sleep when you yourself NEVER sleep. You're always on here
