I use this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2...able_Splitter_-_SATA_Power_8W-PWM-SPL-ST.html

It takes a PWM signal from a fan header on the motherboard(I use the CPU fan header because it has the best PWM control usually), and applies it to up to 8 PWM fans. So all the fans in my computer are software controlled through the CPU fan header on the motherboard. The only down side is that you can only monitor the RPM from one of the fans, the fan plugged into port 1.

Nice...I'm gonna need at least one of these when I build my next personal system (Z97 or X99) later this year. I'd like to switch over to all PWM fans for that build, and I was wondering what fans you use or recommend, for radiators and for case fans. Or even just the brand you've had the best luck with would be helpful; I currently use Corsair SP 120 Perf. and AF 140 Q.E., and they're good, but I never tried their PWM versions.

I had the PWM Corsair SP120 High Performance fans but I switched them all out for Delta AFB1212SHE-PWM fans. The PWM versions of the Corsair fans are good, they didn't have that annoying sound like the normal ones do when they aren't running at 100%, but I wanted something that was capable of more if I needed it. The Delta fans push an insane amount of air and yes they are loud at full blast, but that is why I have the PWM controller. Most of the time I run them at 30% and they are just as quiet as the SP120s.

Sweet, that's enough airflow for a small hovercraft. Those fans are awesome, I had a 92mm Delta out of a high-end Dell that would push 190 CFM at I think 6000 RPM - don't stick your finger in! It ran wide open since I had no PWM controller and I was afraid it's amp draw would fry my motherboard header (2 amps/24 watts). I needed it to point at the south bridge of my cheap POS MSI board - it would overheat and freeze the system every time I was gaming, without the fan. I can still hear that high-pitched turbine whine...
I notice that a lot of radiators are sporting Enermax fans, any experience with them?
