Prices are starting to settle a bit. I just picked up a much needed second R9 290x today...Have had to lower settings at 4k for the last few months running on 1.

Damn right, on both counts.
I'm not saying I'll be happy if there's another delay, far from it, in fact, but from what they showed and alluded to in the DFM TNGS ep, we're damn close to having the DFM ourselves. They already said they're having regular dogfights in the office now.

I've been blasting away in the hacker region of space with Trent for a few weeks now. The storyline in this game is simply awesome. So are the cigarette physics and textures of the main antagonist :laugh:

I think I bought this game when it first game out. Was also the first game I cracked a legal copy of a game, because I forgot my disk one day on a long journey and couldn't play it on my laptop at the time.

I'm also very tempted to buy a new ship in Star Citizen, something mercenary like. The Aurora just feels too basic.

Damn, checked the website for prices, kinda want the freelancer but that cost is too damn high... Might settle for an Avenger package in a month or two, but after securing $41mil, I kinda expected prices to not be so crazy high.

Played some more last night and did some more customising of my FOV. Playing it modded on 2560x1440 was a real pain, but so far the custom HUD commands in the cameras.ini has been suitable so far. Only one bug when I load a game in a hangar with nothing but the takeoff button, only half of it appears! Besides that I've been having a blast. Searching out each individual station in each system to check where all the good ships are, as they game has a tendency to hide them all... I watched your stream for a few minutes but then had to play myself

I actually blindly jump on the bandwagon months ago, pledge (Aurora MR+ I think) and bought ~$40 Logitech joystick LOL.

Ha, that's the HOTAS I'm looking at if CIG doesn't do a Star Citizen HOTAS.
I have a $25 Logitech that has served me well in PS2 and BF, but for SC, I don't see it lasting longer than the DFM, lol.

Lol. Yes $40 (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) is the most expensive I could buy before I jump into $150-700 territory. Some reviewer said it's not that bad against those hundred dollars joystick, I just hope so.

I wouldn't worry about it. Expensive peripherals don't increase people's skill. I'm sticking to mouse/keyboard or Xbox 360 controller until the game releases.

Same one I'm using, must just be more expensive where you are.
It's a great stick for the price, and was a needed upgrade from my old Wingman Extreme.

Yep. I figure we're going to have plenty of time to figure out what control scheme is for us and get the proper peripheral if needed. I suspect a lot of people will stick to kb/mouse and/or 360 controller even after it goes live.

Those are the two I'm considering. Really leaning toward the Rhino, as I like the layout of the buttons on the stick and throttle better, but you just can't beat Thrustmaster quality.

Nice, I might have to order one of those for SC. I wish MS still made Sidewinder's. I have 2 old ones but the buttons don't work on one and the other I picked up in a bargain bin. I'm currently using a Cyborg 3D. It's ok but I don't like the throttle on it.
