Can't install driver (Tried Everything)

I just deleted nvidia folders in program files and x86 and I do have a registry backup..

EDIT: Restored the backup trying to install again

EDIT; I also delted temp and prefetch and app data nvidia folder

Just go into device manager, right click your monitor and select "update driver" then select it to browse your CD, it will seach for the driver inf file and should once found install it, you know it's successful when your monitor name in device manager changes to the actual make/model, you may have to reboot after that, if it does not ask for a reboot do it anyway then try to instal your video drivers again.

My work has 150 of those motherboards, there is an x4 slot, try that just to see if your slot will show it as a fresh device.

After doing hat you said, the windows has determined that the device is up to date..

EDIT: and when I try to use the have disk option, it says the folder doesn't contain the drivers for ypur device

Standard VGA graphics adapter and Generic pnp monitor..I've never installed drivers for the monitor before

Awww..SH1T!!! it closed ...accidently clicked on it instead of idm in task manager...
EDIT: It's not able to connect to the nvidia server..it was the message I got the last time..fix?

Well, I don't really think that it was downloading, it was stuck on 0.0 for 20-30s..Tried a reboot let's see..anything else I can do..

Have you tried letting windows find the driver? Just goto devices and printers then right click on the icon that has your host name and then click device installation settings and set to "Yes do it automatically"

JUST INSTALL WIN 7.. I was already looking forward to it but was waiting for the whql driver by nvidia...thanks for all the help :lovetpu:

Oh I just realised it wasn't the task manager..I clicked on the cross button and thought it would go to the tray but it closed..sorry for the mistak..

Yeah if TRIGG3RHAPPY means click happy too, with the anxiety and impatience that often goes with, it could be part of the problem. You need to let PCs handle certain tasks one at a time.

Lots of good advice here, some of which I was going to add but was already mentioned. Keep trying, success is often preceded by numerous failures and frustrations.

I used to format whenever I encountered a problem I didn't know how to solve. Then I got sick of it and started finding solutions via Google and other sources.

Maybe you have hyper V enabled. There was an issue with that driver and hyper V. I couldn't install it either and almost had to refresh my OS. yeah I know that ...read it in the feedback thread..but I don't use virtualization and everything is fixed..

i have exactly the same problem... i couldn't install nvidia experience so i decided to uninstall everything and do it from the beginning!
and then the problem was that i cant install drivers now cause after 10 sec it says failed ... i have tried everything

just try the solutions present in the thread, if they don't work you have to reinstall the OS
