The Worst Game In The Last 10 Years

I know that there are obviously candidates for this title but let's put a spin on this. Let's talk about the worst games that you have played that most other gamers said was great or really good.

For me it's Star Wars: Republic Commando.

The game starts off fun but then it quickly descends to tedious frustration. I don't mind a squad based game if I can rely on the "squad" based aspect of the game to begin with but time after time I issue orders to my squad and time after time I turn around to see them downed like worthless turds waiting for my resuscitation which will mean I get hammered by the robots if I do and even if I do resuscitate the idiots then they will crumple again like wet cardboard in a windstorm. This is especially irritating when I have a time limit to accomplish a task and my "squad" that I have to depend on is dead for utter stupidity.

Why does an average robot take so many hits to kill it?

Also, why in gods name does it take 30 seconds to program setting an explosive charge while under fire? Why?

Duke Nukem.. Some thing that should of been no shorter than epic but as most companys do when they try to better some thing by changing shit fucked up.

One that comes to mind is Saints Row 2 PC.

There was a recent cricket sport game too, it got released and then unreleased .

Games good should be even better when they get the patch out and yes ubi may suck but Montreal are some of the best people to make a game.


I know they can do a game like Ghost Recon again it's just that it would not make as much money as they like selling games yearly..

Farcry 2 should they could do it and FC3 showed it even more but like 99% of the companys want yearly release of a title.

Well if you look at the reviews for the console version it does pretty well. On the PC, terrible.

That is because the game itself is good, but the port, bad.

Me personally, I like the game. Since it was free, I'd leave it a good review.

Saints Row 2 PC

SR2, itself, was great. It was just a terribad port. SR2 is my favorite of the 4, it had the best, most coherent story.

I can't think of a specific game, but I would say the Far Cry series was shit after Crytek got rid of it and Ghost Recon, Advanced Warfighter 2 PC was the last decent one.

Even though it's 11 years old now, it is and will always be my pick for the worst game.

Any thing after GR has been totally pos even the free version. Besides what i said above UBI like to all so blame piracy too for poor sales when all they need to do is bring out a much updated version thats like GR with a dedi server which allows you to make maps and missions for and release addons over the years but they don't want do it. FC3 is on the right track even FC2 was but they will not give it as like i said before they want to charge $60+ yearly for a game with lots of limitations..

Yet another reason i love the ofp\arma series as they kept the good old ways and how it was done.

AW1 & 2 wasn't as good as OGR, but they were a lot better than the latest garbage. At least they were still an FPS on PC and the multiplayer was quite fun when servers still existed. I don't recall there being a lot of mods for OGR other than weapon packs and maps anyway.

The Far Cry games need a new name because they really have nothing in common with the original. FC2 was utter garbage, in my opinion. I'm still mad I spent money on it just because it had the Far Cry name in it.

The one coming close to being correct in this thread is remixedcat. The rest of you just don't know what "worst" means.

I'd say that RTS where public relations had an impact on how much money got, iirc. How you were potrayed in the news made a difference, and it was simply untolarable. The basic concept was interesting, but everything about the game was utterly atrocius.

That might have been done before 2004 though, so imma misunderstand this like the rest of you and say Skyrim.

The Incredible Hulk would be my choice. Just plain terrible. I never bought it but I played it at a friend's place. omg it sucked bad and the graphics seemed like they were from playstation1 or something.

Closely followed by Duke Nukem and perhaps Soldier of Fortune: Payback.

It will crash, there is NOTHING you can do about it. Atardi....nah, not gonna fix it, complain about it and get banned.

DLC and patches on the xbox, but not for PC.

Spyware installed to runt he game? Yep.

Modding community that created a halfway patch to fix it, hmm, lets ban and threaten to sue them for IP infringement. We don't care they only created a tool that performs third party game save states.

Corrupting saves? We got that too!!!!!

Rampant cheating online? Sure, why not, and hey its free!

Discontinued support shortly after release? You betcha!
