Oh. Sorry. I thought we were talking about how much fps our rigs can get on games to a point of fanboyism and almost rude lashing back like every hardcore "facts" fight. Seriously. There is a reason that people buy AMD and buy Intel. I really don't think it matters if someone gets 100+ FPS with a 8350 or a 3570k. Let people have a choice.

I think we've about killed the thread, and pretty much ruined the OP's hope of discerning anything about his original question past page 1. Enough discussion about AMD and Intel's pricing and gaming at 1440p and FPS figures, let's squash this now and get back to the topic at hand.

OP's i5 will bottleneck 2 high end GPU's in SLI/Xfire in certain games with a lack of optimisation, and an i7 would be more desirable for feeding the information to the two GPU's. Going from an i5 to an 8350 would not improve the situation, it would merely be a sidegrade, and give him poor single core performance in the event he decides to play those kinds of games.

That just about sums it up in a neutral, factual fashion.
