Yep, failed to stop at the stop sign. Right in front of our kids' school, less than a block form home, so we were going slow; could have been much worse. Driver admitted fault, so no real problems, just need some time to care for Rachel and the kids while she recovers, she was/is pretty banged up, but OK.

Yeah, I know from experience as well. All four kids were in the van, Rachel was driving, kids got some seatbelt rash and that's all for them, except my oldest son, who might have a slight concussion. My shoulder is wrecked, but working, will be HUGELY sore tomorrow. Rachel is still in hospital, but I couldn't have the kids there sitting around doing nothing so left and brought them home.

three times it flipped, last time because of the fire hydrant, was mostly due to how she tried to get out of the way and how her tires were turned. They are worse off then we are, my prayers are with them.

Hope everyone heals up ok and the Mrs comes home soon.

My wife and son got hit by a drunk driver who was going over 80mph about 10yrs ago. She took the brunt of it with a broken humerus just below her shoulder along with several broken toes and fingers, both had pretty nasty airbag bruises too.

sitting here waiting on hold with insurance. I went into boss mode immediately.. checked our car, everyone conscious, no blood, dove out of the van ( was passenger), checked the other car, people came out of their houses immediately and some of the other car's occupants started climbing out, bystanders called 911, told the people in the flipped car to try to not move themselves and wait for ambulance and I went back and took care of my own family. within minutes ambulances arrived, 4 ambulances later, I walked home with the stuff collected out off the van, and kids in tow, then went to the hospital to get them checked out. Crazy thing is that that was like 6 hours ago now, seems like it just happened. Once I get off the phone with insurance, back to the hospital I go, I guess.

Oh, and tomorrow is my B-Day. But I hate B-days, so right now I'm glad I have other stuff to keep me busy tomorrow. :roll:
