In short here is the run down based on what has been said so far:

1: This is a re-branded HD 7870
2: Its performance for 1080p gaming right now on High - Ultra Gaming will be good right now. With BF4 for instance you can average above 40FPS at ultra with the right combination of components.
3: It will not last beyond 2 years for high settings let alone ultra. It will probably start becoming obsolete for 1080p High mid 2015.

If MSI offer good support in your country; the vga card has the features required and fits with your budget. then yes

As @Law-II said, best to ensure good support in your area/country. MSI has a pretty good reputation in MSI, but I've no idea how their CS and RMA is outside of here.

As for the R9 270, that's the GPU I was going to get for my latest rig that was going to be a cruncher as well as a LAN party pc that could be easily moved. At 1080p, I think it would do well enough. I ended up getting a 270x only because the deal was fantastic, but the non x is what I was aiming to get.

Not sure, but isn't it a rebranded 7850?

@Genjiro, you could expect medium to high settings with that particular video card 1080p and below.

Nah, both the R9 270 and R9 270X contain the same amount of stream processors (1280) which is the same as an HD 7870. The main difference is the R9 270 is clocked generally below 1ghz and contains a locked up (or very limited) voltage adjustment that normally hinders any potential overclocking while the R9 270X is essentially around the area of a HD 7870Ghz edition and contains much higher clocks and overclocking.

The rebranded HD 7850 is the R7 265 which contains the 1024 stream processors of an HD 7850. Still to me one of the greater mysteries of naming and of GPU releases in all honesty because it seems weird to release 2 of the same GPU with names like that because it makes selecting cards very hard for some people especially with cards like the 280 and 280X (Or 290 and 290X) because those have much clearer differences.

i can play BF4 at 1080p on max out settings on a sapphire R9-270 paired with my current set-up. FPS at 30-40 depending on the scene. Metro Last Light also plays nicely max out except AA.

BF4 should run well, since my HD5870 oldies run it smoothly with high/ultra settings in 64p rounds.

What about overclocking, is this card good for overclocking? I've seen tons of reviews of how the clocks are better than the 270X
