you can do it the easy and messy way. of just having a 24v dc adapter. or you can do it by making a simple 12v-24v dc-dc converter. for a few £ or you can pay silly money and buy one.

i think the ddc is a better option than the mcp50x but the mcp50x is a good pump so probably a matter of cost/mounting options.

the d5 can run on 24v.. at 12v its lower pressure higher wattage. but at 24v. it can do 16ft head at 5.5Gpm that's 6 feet more head. at around the same flow rate..
your penalty is 30w on the pump though. (thats only 6w more than the ddc at 12v though)
didnt think i would have to explain that to be honest with you.

And the direct comparison of 12V vs 24V. With this, I can say I see no reason at all to run at anything over 12V. The performance between 12V and 24V is exactly the same where it matters in water cooling. It's not until beyond 2.5GPM that you even start seeing any gain with the 24V curve. Also 24V is typically using about an extra 1 watt of power.

to be honest , the 750D

has plently of room to add a 360, 280, 120 in push/pull even with 2 loops since u can detach all the hdd cages in front without using dremel.......
i was thinking of getting a 750D for my project but headed for the lian li
my opinion is, having more fluid and a good fluid type in the system keeps the overall temps lower and you don´t need to run your fans at higher RPM since it takes longer to heat it all up

asking for pump, rad, waterblocks and forcing to go on a AIO Set is kinda weird dude.

take a look at my R.O.G Project Log there you´ll see how it could be done ( no advertising)
I would just be using the block from the AIO...after all it is also a standalone from swiftech, not to mention it is their top of the line block now.

aio blocks are probably the weakest part of the link IMO. you will probably upgrade the block after a while though.

Even if those numbers are accurate, although I would tend to gravitate towards Martin's findings, a stock 35X has a head of 14.7', and the new 50X squirts 15.8. Both of these would make running a D5 at higher voltages pointless.

Pretty sure he is talking about the h220x swiftech aio that just released that comes with Apogee XL block.

i shall consed to that then. so i guess that makes the mcp50x the best pump :)

i guess thats one way to find the correct answer :)

oh well that may be different then. but i have not checked out any specs for that.

Uh what? MCP50X is part of Swiftech's DDC pump line up.

You've made that pretty obvious.

Uh what? MCP50X is part of Swiftech's DDC pump line up.
Not pertaining to the topic...but what kind of paint should i use to paint this thing?

I like being different

Or at least a place to sand blast the original powder coat off so that whatever primer/paint you decide to use goes on with ease, instead of having to sand and shit. I like starting with bare metal. Pretty much what I did when I tore down the entire interior of a HAF 932 I had, to paint it black.

That sounds a bit pointless, but id find some place that can powder coat it.

+1 on Powder coating, you´ll bite ya butt if u mess up the paint job

i´ve powder coated my coolermaster cosmos, drilled out all rivets cleaned all parts, drop´d it at the powder coater, paid about 50 bucks and had a kickass result
just calc the prices for the stuff you need (primer, paint, sanding paper) to get a nice result.

I would just be using the block from the AIO...after all it is also a standalone from swiftech, not to mention it is their top of the line block now.
i cannot tell how this block performs or the quality of the block or the top line block atm, like i said, i always used EK.
but choosing a block from a 100$ Set if a single block already cost 70$+ with multiple tops, colors, jetplates to choose from....... to build ya rig like u want it too.... :ohwell:

we can only talk about the experience we made in our projects and just can give guidance..... the willing to take em is up to you.

Double checking on all the top end blocks, the Swiftech Apogee XL actually beats the Raystorm and EKWB Supremacy by a degree. So the block is definitely no slouch.

That is also within margin of error though too. Tim application/ mounting not consistent or slight change to ambient temps. You can't go wrong with either of the top blocks these days.

I know and since i already have the Apogee XL i will keep that. I picked up 2 rads today the pump, res some fittings and tubing...I think I am going to keep a single system and return the Gigabyte wifi bk edition mobo. I am going to unscrew the heatsinks colored portion off of my Mpower mobo and paint them white to go with the black and white theme. I don't know If I am going to keep the Seasonic 1200w PSU either. My V1000 is efficient enough to add at least one more oc 780 GTX. I am just worried about my next dual gpu upgrade.
