GPU exceeds maximum temperature!

its possible the temp sensor is in a strange place as well, a lot of the older cards would put it away from the heat and use an offset - so a chip near the ram could just add 20C to whatever it read. old CPU's used to do that with a sensor inside the socket/under the CPU.

if its stable its stable, just see if you can find ways to cool it down more.

I had a 8600gt from gigabyte, the silentpipe version that used to run at 80C when stock, and about 90-95C when oced, strapping a fan onto the radiator brought down the temp to around 70C at most. But it was completely stable, albeit very hot, It used to warm my room up in winter, and I am not joking

doesnt matter if the card was 10C or 100C, the heat output is the same. and an 8600GT only had a 43W TDP, so your room must have been easily heated. (or to be accurate, it was the rest of your PC and not that card)

My room is at 36°C, inside the case is 39°C. My card is at 58°C on idle (it was 48-51 on Winter).

Very hard to keep it cool in such conditions. But if you have a cheap solution I'd be happy to hear it!

Any hardware would run toasty with ambient temperatures that high.

Not short of reducing the ambient temperature by using ~~sometime~~ something like an air conditioner or putting it in a cool basement. Thermodynamics works off of differences in temperature. Since the ambient temperatures are so high, the hardware is going to get that much hotter until the Δt gets large enough to allow that excess heat to be removed.

For example, if your case's ambient temperature was 29*C with an idle temperature of 45*C, it would be reasonable to assume that if the ambient temperature were increased to 39*C that idle temperatures would increase by at least that much to 55*C.

I guess I'll have to live with that since there's no way to reduce ambient temperature here... I'm doing my best already.

And how will I power it? I have 1 case fan, there's space for only 1 more on the case and no way to power it.

And about my GPU I did an improvement today.
I added a newer, better fan and Instead of using hot glue to glue the fan onto the GPU I used cyanoacrylate along with some tiny EVA scraps.
GPU temperature have decreased significantly, from 54-58°C and now it is 50-53°C (idle) at room temperature of ~34°C at the moment and it is 10:19 PM.

It has been working great till now. I just hope there's no risk of fire.

idle should be 36-40C with room temp of 34C

use molex, if you have a molex plug lying around you can just solder the 12v and the ground to the fan's 12v and ground then plug it in.

Fan will run full speed so use a fairly quiet fan.

Instead of rubber bands you can use zip ties.
