SWIFTECH H220-X AIO LIQUID COOLER VGA EXPANSION (PUMP SUFFICIENT?)

HELLO!!
I am going to expand my liquid kit, includes my new ASUS GTX 980 POSEIDON.
For that i will add to the loop one more 120mm radiator plus the gpu.
My doubt on this project its the stock pump of the H220-x.
Will be able to control properly the water flow of the loop or i need to buy a better pump?

cpu: i7 4790k oc at 4,8
motherboard: msi z97 gaming 7
memory: 4x8gb Gskill trident X
Gpu: Asus gtx 980 poseidon
Storage: 2x samsung 850pro 256gb Raid 0 /1x corsair force Gs 120gb /HDD Seagate constellation 4Tb
Cooling: Swiftech h220-x
Psu: EVGA supernova 850w G2
Case: Corsair Graphite 760T

Hello ozorian,

I have a similar system (component per component) to the H-220X and I'm able to cool a 2500K (4.4GHz @ 1.33V) and a GTX 770 (factory OC'd and theoretically with 50W higher in TDP than yours) with no issues, after several hours of crunch+fold CPU tops at 48-53ºC and GPU at 35-37ºC.

Here is my system detailed:

Pump - Phobya DC12-400 (delivers 800LPH vs 600LPH from MCP30 as i've read, not a huge diff though)
Radiator - Swiftech MCR-220XP (I think it's the same) with Corsair SP120 High Performance fans in push->pull
CPU Block - Swiftech Apogee XT (theoretically the block that H220-X has is better than mine)
GPU Block - Swiftech MCW-82 (as far as I see, the poseidon carries also the waterblock, bigger than mine but doesn't seems restrictive at all as it seems just one solid pipe in U shape)
Reservoir - Swiftech MicrorRes v2.0

EDIT: Don't trust the voltage reading from the GPU, when runs at 100% is at 1.18V (running at 1.14GHz core / 1.75 GHz memory) checked at GPU-Z

my system contains 1x560mm rad + 420mm rad + 2 resorviors + blocks on CPU/MB/VGA and i run it using 1200LPH pomp running at 20% power

You should be just fine with that Swiftech kit- I ran an FX-8350 and a 7970 using the original H220 (with an extra 120mm rad.) and had no problems whatsoever.

Really...that is what you wanted to add to this thread? Send OP a PM (like I should have done with you) to let him know your disgust with his all caps title and how he ruined your day by offending you so deeply, also that is totally subjective and not worth publicly brow beating a new member.

That pump will be fine..however you might be approaching the limits of your Radiator depending on how far you push the card/cpu. Just bench and monitor temps. Your loop will increase in temps with the GPU added which will require faster fan settings to maintain prior temps.

I have same rad (if the one included it's the eXtreme Performance series) and with a good push->pull configuration (4xCorsair SP120 High Performance) I think a CPU+GPU can be achievable, at least for me it worked for the i5 2500K + HD6850/GTX 770 all OC'd for more than 4 years (see prior post) with good temps, though HD6850 ran hotter than the GTX770. Anyway, you're quite true that the better will be to run some bench/stress tests to see if it holds ok with just one rad and the fans he has, I have to say also that my radiator is on the front, so all the intake goes for him, maybe that helps even more =)

Though that ozorian, your case is huge so no big problem accommodating another rad if it's necessary, but I agree with ZenZimZaliban i'll check first .. and if it's not working, purchase the second rad, <eco_mode_on>but not before your tests</eco_mode_off>
