Due to various unfortunate reasons my last PC build will be a final end all goal. For now i will have to start with a medium - budget Gaming Build for various mmo's including ESO and Tera and was wondering if i would get away with a 60 fps on High- Medium Graphics with this Build.

your call, but if you want to save some more cash you could drop that CPU for a higher tier intel i3-43XX series CPU and it would still perform better than most of AMD's 6 or 8 core CPUs unless the game or task is extremely heavily multithreaded. Even with newer games the higher tier i3's should perform amazingly well.

I would spend a little more dosh on the power supply though. go for a quality PSU not from the CX range. I have heard enough bad stories about the CX range to last me a lifetime.

I would try to squeeze for a R9 280X if possible, as the 280 is a rebadged 7950 - Still a good card though. should be fine for 1080p but you might need to make a few sacrifices here and there with newer titles possibly. The 280X will kill anything at 1080p and all the way up to 1440p specially when it comes to MMOs

No point in the Hyper 212 EVO with a CPU that can't be overclocked.

As others said no point in going for a aftermarket cooler if you wont overclock. Furthermore by buying a cheaper case you can get better components. Finally you realize you are missing a HDD there right or are you re-using your old one?

Here is a much more balanced build. For $50 more you can get a 1TB HDD which you are gonna need for your games

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

It comes with the CPU. And that Xeon is basically an i7 without igp

You don’t need a CPU cooler cause the processor you are using won't be overclocked, provided Stock cooler may handle your temps, that’s why everyone says that you don’t need a aftermarket cooler,

also if you are saving money for this build you should get a Z97board, decent ram memory, and a cheap 1150 processor, for example a i3 than can be upgraded to a i5/i7 when money comes to your pocket, also intel g series, may be another option for a temporal budget processor,

what about the build you have on system specs? is that your other build? or what else do you have ?

as i previously stated due to a very unfortunate incident i no longer have the means of getting enough cash to build the pc in my system specs so they will be changing shortly.

My budget overall is about $1000 maybe even a lil more depending on if i am able to get a job again, but considering my past luck that is very unlikely as no one wants to hire me.

would i be better off getting an i-5 4690k? also i am a sponsored streamer so i will most likely have to upgrade to 16gb Ram in order to record gameplay and stream games in the future.

getting an i-3 is unnecessary because i have exactly 6-7 months to collect such funds for the computer. so depending on how much cash i will be able to make decided whether or not i will be getting my original computer or this cheaper computer.

If you are building this thing in 7 months this thread is pointless

But for gaming, a 4690K and a cooler would be a better option for the price than the Xeon. This is what I'd do:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($229.98 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($27.98 @ OutletPC)

OK, due your las words,

what do you have at the moment, it’s the option orr reusing old hardware possible? that may save plenty money on several parts such PSU, Case and HDD if possible…

if you get this even in a year still reasonable, please ignore krusha03 coment,

well not knowing about PSU and case will make things hard.. can you provide a photo of the current hardware,

if the i3 is sandy or ivy bridge they will share something in common, 1155 socket, so a decent i5 o i7 can be reused on your current board, video card is too old for be re-used on a new gaming build,

So please note that we need excat model on Cpu model, motherboard, ram, Hdd, Case and PSU,

The point being is that technology goes forward and prices change a lot withing a month or 2 let alone 7. Furthermore you have the deals and rebates that can make going for a higher end board or gpu possible or not. So yes @peche this build in a year would still be good but for the same budget you will most definitely be able to get something better

Well at this point i dont care if this wont be the same price in 7 months or whatever. Right now my computers are so bad that i absolutely have no choice as long as i wanna keep my sponsorship then to upgrade there for i am just trying to get a sense of what is what and if these parts would be good enough for such a thing. So i apologize if this thread is useless in your opinion and i will gladly just end it if that is what people want.

Furthermore you have the deals and rebates that can make going for a higher end board or gpu possible or not. So yes @peche this build in a year would still be good but for the same budget you will most definitely be able to get something better
kursha one does not simple sais something like that on your last post… that’s it, I wont argue about it,

regards,

Okay so i just looked and the only thing i would be able to re use is the HDD
well reusing the HHD will make you save like $50…

I'm still having some doubts, about your last i3… and motherboard, there we could have a good start… also why don’t re-use the case? does not matter about brand and model, the thing is something to use for the hardware.. that everything we need,

Regards,
the case is a Thermaltake SapranoRS
and when i check the motherboard only ran DDR2 ram so i just assumed that, that would just be out of the question for streaming and recording gameplay

In 7 months a lot of things may happen. You will be looking at Skylake CPU and more affordable GPUs, better SSD price and DDR4 price and etc.

BTW, I thought you own a 5820K system right? Then why are you building a mid-range one?

Benchmark Scores well I've fried a 775' P4 12 years ago, that counts?

well, a soprano is a pretty decent case, good airflow, plenty space…so I don’t know why you don’t give it a chance to rock again!

are you sure that processor is an i3?

What about PSU?

Do to current developments i had to back out of buying my 5820k and the rest of my parts. The original plan was to have it built by end of summer so i could start putting out content for Razer sense im under there sponsorship but do to a person who i was suppose to work with over summer backing out of my job i wont have the money unless im offered a job which with my luck it wont happen for a while. BUT i will run a 5820k if its the last thing i do.

trust me … that case can handle a modern setup for sure...i have used shitty cases for several buidls, also one of my cruncher is on a shitty case, even worse than your soprano,
my secret weapon on next TPU WCG challenge is waring a moded generic shitty case....
IMG_7758.JPG

for the rig you just need a decent z97 board, Ram memory and a dencet i3 to start having fun, you said somewhere else the post that you have $1000 for making that build right?

re using your HDD and case you will save almost $90.. that can be used on a decent processor or GPU…
just think about it twice…

I suppose that extra cash could be used for a better GPU
And that as much as i assume i will be able to make by the end of summer it may end up less or more who knows until i am able to find a way to make cash
