Building my liquid cooled gaming rig! Help appreciated!

So I've finally decided to build what I hope will a gaming PC that I can keep updating for a good long time. I've always been a big fan of AMD and I've had considerable luck with them but I also know this last generation runs super hot. Which leads me to my question I know you have to liquid cool the FX 9590 and I've read that in order to run the MSI R9 390x in crossfire your really should liquid cool them as well. So what is the best way to go about cooling these 2 VGA's and the CPU still keeping the cooling rig in the $500 range? Can it even be done at that price and be worth the money or will I need to spend more capital?
Thanks for your time and input!

Not sure it can be done at that price... CPU block and GPU blocks (assuming full coverage which is what you want) are going to run at least $275 right there. To cool 700W+ (at stock mind you) You will want 7x120mm worth of radiator. Looking at $175 or so on rads, another $80+ for a pump... fittings, tubing... yeah...

Is it too late to get an Intel CPU and something a less power hungry? I know you like AMD but you picked some of the most power hungry crap you can buy, lol. Why 2 390x? Why not a single Fury/Fury X or an NVIDIA card (which is less power hungry)?

Throw the 9590 in the trash can, buy an i5 and run a single 390x /thread

Power hungry doesn't bother me that bad I just want to be sure this machine can play any game for the next few years at max settings. If it takes more money that's what it takes lol . It's more that I want to see if I can build an impressive rig for under $2500 I'm already under budget at just over $1400. I guess posting the build so far would have been helpful lol.
Case : Thermaltake Core V71
Mobo: MSI Gaming 990FXA
Processor: FX 9590
VGA: 2x MSI R9 390x
RAM: 4x Corsair Vengeance Pro 8 GB
Plus storage space which I already have. So I still have the power supply and cooling system to figure out I was looking at building my cooling system around the EK-Kit 360x but I am unsure of the quality of the kit and if it's worth the $400 price tag or if it could be done cheaper by piece or if I would need more cooling power.

That board will NOT survive with a stock 9590 let alone an overclocked one. It only features a 6+2 VRM section.

What Mobo WILL hold the 9590 at stock and not over heat. This is my first build and I have no intention of over clocking ever I am too accident prone lol

Some motherboards have small fans over the VRM section, others may have G1/4 ports to insert Liquid cooling components built in to the VRM section.
It may be better to look for something that has enough power phases and cooling options if using a high end AMD CPU.

ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z is the top board for AM3+ ($220), or the Asrock 990FX Extreme 9 ($190). These are impressively low prices for flagship boards (Intel flagship boards are more like $400-$600). However, reading the owners' reviews on Newegg was not encouraging (lots of problems). In any case, one of these boards would be your best bet for surviving that much power and heat (220w + 300w + 300w + another 100-200w for motherboard, RAM, drives, lighting, etc.). As EarthDog said, this will require a lot of cooling. Good luck!

Have one, love it, would buy again if needed. If you want to go full watercooling, the Forumula-Z might have better support for aftermarket VRM/chipset water blocks.

Edit: That being said, and as much as I love AMD, I'd buy an Intel or wait for Zen. They're decent CPUs, buuuuuuuutttt...

If you are building new, it might be a better choice to wait for AM4 and just upgrade what you have now, which must be a shoebox since you didnt fill out your system profile. Getting a r480 now could mean extra cash later on when you do upgrade everything else.

If you haven't already, don't bother with aftermarket boards, get the reference 390 and you can use a 290/290X waterblock on it and still achieve high OC's. Even better if you find a used one to keep cost low. Personally with that budget you have, I won't buy new of any of these as they are significantly less effieicent/under performers than Intel (at same price range) and there's no upgrade path for that AMD platform. Buy used with some warranty/guarantee.

Id honestly return it and go intel... no joke. If you want this rig to last a few years, id go with an intel build straight up.

Really, and with respect, you seem too green to use a multi gpu setup. With it comes issues. You ready to tackle those? I mean what res are you playing games at that you NEED two cards? Id go single and just reserve your self to adding another one later, or buy a better single gpu in a couple of years.

Also 32gb of ram is massive overkill.. my friend, your build needs A LOT of help... :)

I would save cash by buying a new/used last gen Intel setup, a 980Ti or the like and putting money into 16-32GB of RAM and a larger SSD, you will get more performance and when AM4 hits and is reviewed you can see if its worth it, but a 9590 is a very mediocre chip from every standpoint, high heat, high power consumption, poor performance per clock, very mediocre threaded performance.

Good point, but if you want to buy for the future 480 or 1080/1060 is where to start, SSD would be after that. The AM4 boards will be using DDR4, some boards might be backward to DDR3 is what I read was correct. Its really too soon to make any solid choices for board, chip, and memory.

Well the it seems there is only one question I have left. What are the odds of being able to build a Zen rig on the aforementioned budget and how much longer will I have to wait?
By the way, guys really thank you I mean that. All of you that had constructive comments were very helpful, disappointing but very very helpful to the Intel guys out there really no offense but AMD was first rig built for me 15 or years ago by a dear friend to get me away from consoles and AMD well always be my first choice but thank you guys too.

I have bought AMD for years, mainly as I gambled on Phenom and it was a Phenominal piece of crap, but the board was great, and gave me a few upgrades, but the AM3 socket is dead. If you want to stay AMD get a FM2 socket A10 that can overclock and good RAM with a good board and run that with a RX480.

Zen is supposed to hit Novemberish, and until there are reviews that show the increase in IPC, a new A10 is the fastest core available, and a quad core will do everything you need for now, and it offers very good performance per dollar and very good overclocking.

Wait until november and HOPE amd reaches haswell or better performance...or buy intel now and get over the brand loyalty in favor of making the higher performing choice.

Well, like everyone else has said I would say get a i5 processor and overclock it as that is going to offer way better performance especially in the long run. If you must stick with AMD Iwould suggest getting something like an Athlon 860K and a nice motherboards (Like the Asus Crossblade) and going that route.

If your looking for liquid cooling on a budget like that for everything, its going to be tight as just the blocks alone are going to be about $250-$300. Then when you include everything else it can add up to well over $500 for an adequate build to cool that system. If you can bump it to $700, then we can probably suggest something that will work.

$700 well within acceptable limits for my build. So far I've backed up to an 8370 and backed off the 9590 that seems to be one major issue everyone is suggesting, a common theme. I'm also looking at some FM 2 and 2+ boards and processors. Thank you very much Steevo for suggesting the RX480 VGA's they look very much like what I'm after though the lack of supply sucks no idea what happened to them all seems they made a large run of them but they are now all out of stock. The fury series also is highly appealing if not a little disappointing in the on board RAM department. But then again there is every likelihood that 8gbs on board is overkill (an ongoing theme in my life). Needless to say I'm back to the drawing board having only the case ( the Thermaltake Core V71) I picked out being the piece I know I'm keeping also keeping an AMD chip set in mind given as far as I'm seeing in bench marks the primary difference is price and preferences. But otherwise an empty cart....
