So the last thread got a bit uh, toxic. So new thread, Project Xenoplague is gonna be my first foray into content creation. Haven't decided what programs I want to install yet, but I know I will be using OBS, and perhaps Vegas. I have a passion for short films and animated shorts, so it would be fun to do that alongside playing some modded Skyrim, Fallout 4, BF4, BF1, World of Tanks, World of Warships and New Vegas.

Where i live i don't necessarily have to worry about power outages so i am confident enough without one. And this PC is gonna be bought at seperate times being that i don't have all the cash up front.

Pretty much that's the idea. This is gonna be an adventure for me. I have a youtube channel so once I get everything I'll do a build log of sorts and post it on the thread as I go along. Might do it in two parts, maybe just 1.

I would dump the 212 evo for something a little more beefy
its getting on in years and you can do better for not much more

Just shows my inexperience haha before I joined the military I only knew about computers from what I saw on YouTube. Now it's going to be my career.

My current screen is a http://bit.ly/2aKZQ9u is DSR just a software tool or does it need to be supported by the Monitor/TV as well? Because with a 1060 I am planning on some 1440p up-scaling. But right now, sense I don't have it yet, this is the best place to ask.

well its a quite adecuated way for making a computer,
as advise, get the Motherboard and processor last, why? because several and revisions of motherboards are constantly apearing everyday, cheaper and making other models to be cheap, and you migh get a hot deal or combo with CPU,
get the cheaper things first, such as case, drives, cooler, psu then the expensive ones, such as video card, SSD...

Well, 212 Evo is a solid, great and pretty capable cooler, the fans can be also upgraded for better cooling, also paired with Arctic Cooling MX series results can be beatiful,

If you already plan to replace the cooler, why not getting an AIO Watercooler? there are enough available options that might be on your budget limit lad,
