Asus R9 290x Fans making noises, going bad ?

Hello all. My r9 290x stock reference cooler is on its way out I think.

I would like a similar cooler that takes the heat of the card and pushes it back through the rear of the case. What is the closest cooler to meet those wants? Price is not an issue, card still performs very well.

The trouble with changing cooler is fitting sufficient cooling to the memory and (especially on 290/390 cards) vrm section, aftermarket coolers often come with substandard stick on aluminium heatsinks not up to the task of cooling these larger cards vrm's

EK and a few other waterblocks are made to fit non reference cards, the ek ones can be bought pre filled attached to a predator aio radiator/pump, but are not cheap

If you take your current cooler apart and google the part number on the fans you can usually find new ones on ebay or amazon cheap, i have found fans for a few cards from amazon traders in my country, though a lot of listings are from hong kong or china

I found the fans "oem" from, of course, china for about 30$. How hard was installation ?

Gimmie a day to check the attic. Oh I also know I have a bunch 7970 ref coolers and they use the same squirrel cage fan.

whenever my Shroud fans die, i just reach out to the Manufacturer, and they have always sent me a replacement, as long as the model i require isnt too hard to get(free of charge too). They do RMA's, and if the GPU has a dead diode, or Vram chip, the Shroud is still just fine, and left sitting in a pile, or repurposed. I have never dealt with Assus, but i would think they are no different, unless theyre support is dogshit ofc.
