1-2 sec freezing in games.

Hello all,

I will make this as short as I can. I'm an avid World of Warcraft player. Simply, I keep having small freezes constantly. I will be well @ 100 fps, and if I move somewhere it CAN and often does seem to ''load'' by freezing for 1-2 seconds. A 2-second freeze is rare. But also my load screen times are awful. Which is partially an in-game issue which people have complained about but I have had much better load times recently. I noticed better load times when playing fullscreen as well. Not sure about the freezes.

I googled some things and most of the results were from WoW players which were along the lines of either ''get an SSD'' or ''your processor sucks'' in other forums to other players. Now I'm well over the recommended requirements of the game. My recommended settings are at full maximum which I can run very well EXCEPT for the damn 1-2 sec freezes. So I run at 6/10 with shadows and SSAO (w/e that is) turned downed.

I don't know much about a lot of the in-game settings it offers. I can take a screenshot f necessary. But task manager looks okay, except when I have multiple things open and my ram is a little low. But the freezes happen regardless.

Hoping for some help here because: by the way, support for the game basically say the same things. Even if there are things I can do to improve performance that's fine with hopes of freezes being not as frequent. Not something I can really count.

By the way, 2 things I'm not sure about effecting this. I have Windows 7, and the game is DX11 with an option for DX9. Also, refresh rate. *shrugs*

EDIT: Coming back to this game after creating this thread. The freezes arent as frequent walking and turning around fast in the immediate area. So it does seem to be a ''loading'' or rendering issue.

Can you elaborate? Is that a program and how do I use it?

I haven't but I will try right now.

The immediate result is still very small freezes. When doing things like opening bags, and moving. Things that have to render new things.



Also, i need to mention that once i get the first small freeze.. which I should say are milliseconds rather than seconds I can spin around and open/close my bags as fast as I can hit the keyboard with ZERO problems.

Well... what is it? A programm. Google the name, download it. Press play, then game on and when it stutters alt tab and see the worst process that did they irq break. It summs up in the other table.

yes, I do use addons. but i have worked without them and even deleted them all.

Another point, vsync has seemingly made a few things smoother. Could just be in my head but it certainly seems like things like opening bags etc. Doesnt cause a freeze now.

I appreciate the help for sure, but you never told me what to look for. So I didnt know how to sort. Starts at the bottom.

DRIVERS!! A tab is called like that.

Could be superfetch. Google how to disable it. Note, superfetch creates 1-2 sec freezes every so often (once an hour or so), so if it's alot more often than this, it will be something else possibly.

Listen, I appreciate your help, but your getting angry at me, when i originally posted what you asked for and you had a problem. So I asked this time, and theres a problem with that?

For some reason, when I saw that sound might be a problem, I went to the sound tab and switched from ''Default'' to the only one that worked which was headphones.. My load times are fast and as soon as i get in no freezes like I ALWAYS get.

Turned graphics up.. still no freezes.. I mean could something like that really fix it? Or is this cache and temporary.

EDIT: Went to a zone that wouldnt be in the cache. Loaded up faster and no freezes.
