Anyone watch the livestream?

I kind of hyped as I sunk hours and hours into Hurtgen Forest map back in CoD1/UO.

So for me personally, Id probably get it depending if they dont f**k up all the server side of things.... Dedicated servers, Rcon or Punkbuster support so that mods/admins can kick hackers just like in the good old day, and 64 player servers and vehicles on some of the maps to give the game play some real meaning.

They spoke about health not regenerating automatically then that twat at IGN spouted some nonsense about the last time he saw that was in a halo game or something.... really....**rolls eyes** f**kin really......

proof this guy has never played the earlier CoD games.....

So the game could have classes just like Battlefield games

For some reason i feel theres a little nod to early Medal of Honor games before they tried to become a CoD clone and flopped.

Knowing Activision, they wont give PC gamers what they want as they'd rather have the 'one glove fits all' for all platforms.

Anyone else watch the livestream/trailer and want to leave their input?

Didn't watch the live stream, but I just took a little gander through some of the clips. It looked pretty cool imo, and I'm glad they're going back to ww2.

For some reason i feel theres a little nod to early Medal of Honor games before they tried to become a CoD clone and flopped.

I'm definitely feeling that!

Dedicated servers, Rcon or Punkbuster support so that mods/admins can kick hackers just like in the good old day, and 64 player servers and vehicles on some of the maps to give the game play some real meaning.

Sounds perfect.

I'm interested, only because of my disappointment with other FPS games at the moment. Will be keeping my eye on it, this seems different than anything they have done since CoD 3.

Watched the trailer/live stream. Psyched to see it come back to WWII, the cast looks great, the story and characters seem to be interesting, and I absolutely love the model detail (including vehicles and weapons).

That said, I was a bit disappointed it will only cover the European theater. I was really hoping a comeback to roots of this scope would also highlight the African theater, if not a mission in the Pacific as well.

I just hope it doesn't mean a micro sized campaign. When they stumble to come up with any more than one French and one British character when asked about the scope of the cast, you have to wonder.

It's the same kind of stonewalling Angry Joe got when asking about the scope of Hitman 2016. It just seems anymore when you get attention to authenticity and graphic detail of this level, it's usually soured with a serious lack of content.

Such is the trend of today's AAA titles that are mostly made for console.

I think the actual live stream might have some gameplay footage Just skip through it a little

Personally i doubt they will do 64 player because of the whole competitive scene for COD but perhaps a 24 or 32 online match be a nice change from previous COD titles, would love it if they allow coop campaign as i quite liked that on World at War playing through campaign with my older bro or with friend. The footage they showed at the reveal is definite a tribute to Saving private ryan/Omaha beach moment which was pretty cool.
I'm a bit excited for it but i need more information..may preorder it to get beta access.

I thought it harkened back to the original medal of honor allied assault as well...LOVED that game...played it so much, had a 5 pc lan setup in the house and eventually had all my bosses and a few coworkers get in on some epic deathmatches on the weekends. I truly hope the campaign is not short

Maybe its just a 'back to basics' approach because people are tired of all the kill streaks, rocket jumping and wall running BS. CoD1/UO was a spectacular game. So was CoD2, MW1 & to a lesser extent W@W. CoD1/UO was the best though. but they've been tainted by greed so its all about giving you the same old same old with newer textures, kill streaks and the odd new perk/feature.

Obviously the game will most likely appeal more to the console fanbase then other platforms.

I've honestly never been a CoD fan. I didn't even like CoD4 and people talk about that like it's Holy Grail material. I've owned numerous of their games over the years and gave them fair tries, but just never had me. But the new trend of rocket jumping and rocket sliding really killed it for me. And hopefully for others. I'm curious if the maps will open up and how they plan to tackle customization the series is so famous for (in both good and bad ways).

I too loved MOHAA, and I thought it did a great job in getting the online multiplayer going; we used to LAN on MOHAA all the time for years, fantastic game. There were great multi maps that made for exciting games.

(also, anyone remember the mod for CoD WaW where you could coop zombies on old MOHAA maps? That was so amazing!)

So I hope this new CoD game is great with a little throwback to MOH, and I'll be all over! :)
