Rockbox finally released their firmware for the 5.5Gen iPod Video 80GB.

Rockbox has a proper 5 band parametric EQ, done in software. The EQ has global gain control as well (something the iPod EQ settings desperately needed). What's this, boosted bass with NO distortion?! No more clipping, YAY!!!!
It can also control the hardware EQ, if that's your preference, but it's not parametric (from what I can tell).
The iPod has never sounded better.
