Lol hi, I'm post 12 and 15 with nothing of mention for PC vs PS4, and they're post 16 with all the VS stuff. Happy counting!
Is this thread only for PC's? Well no and the other thing is nobody is comparing PS4 vs PC read the posts man. They mentioned that it's a good solution for PS4 clarifying that 30FPS is not PS4's only max FPS since it has 60FPS. If somebody is comparing anything that would be lack of knowledge of one person on the PS4 platform to usage of 4k 60hz monitors getting 60Fps

Yes, and your Post 12 is a big lie and misconception.
Go outside and learn to see a joke. Might be beneficial to you.

See now a huge fix to that would be adaptive refresh rate for consoles running 4k and cannot hit 60fps constantly. I'm pretty sure the tech is there (Freesync/Gsync) for the two devices to communicate and shouldn't be costly to build in. Let's console players a good look at smoother gameplay for a change.

Console games with proper implemented Frame pacing, at 60fps, are smooth. In fact smoother than some PC games with no Freesync/Gsync enabled. No, they aren´t as smooth as unlocked framerate on a 144hz/240hz screen, but they are smooth enough.

If you want to prove anything about PC being objectively better, smoother, cheaper, whatever you want, you might give up at this stage. Because I know PC is better. But PC can´t deliver everything.

Thankfully we can still have both platforms. So as long as that´s possible, I´m fine.

First off, I'm not pushing to prove anything because there is no better platform, and you're ignorant to say there is. No one gives a flying care on what is smoother, cheaper, stronger, and dare I say better because a neutral person doesn't give a dunce. It's called this amazing thing of personal preference that you seem to say screw-all when you think of my adorable face. You think I want to prove something and keep pushing this thread off topic. I say nay to that.

Let the new consoles have their 4k monitors, and with two HDMI inputs it makes it easier to switch from their rig to their console whenever they want. I don't care what you use and I frankly don't care about your opinion at this point. I'm unwatching the thread and letting you stay in your la-la land.

I'm sure it would and you got a great point here. I don't know if this is in development but as we know AMD has taken over the console market now. FreeSync is an open source and that would mean implementing it for the console market might be a great move and cost effective. Keep in mind that 4k gaming with PC's is a low percentage of overall gamers. In the console world that's different. If you compare console market to PC market, consoles win with double the sales. or at least that's what it was previous years.

We will get Freesync support on next-gen consoles with HDMI 2.1.

As fot "Toothless", he just run away with no more arguments after making that senseless "joke". And yes, I repeat, PC is objectively better than console. I play a lot of consoles tho :)

Well don't be to hard on people here. We all learn something :)

And yeah 2.1. I got a ps3 but I bet the ps4 doesn't have the HDMI2.1 now right? I wonder if they get the display port in new consoles as a standard. It is way more reliable for the fancy features.

Not being harsh mate, I just didn´t like the ramble against consoles because is all you see nowadays on the web. I use PCs since my old IBM PC1 and I don´t have such posture :) And I fully agree with you, Displayport should be the norm for literally everything. PS4 doesn´t have HDMI2.1, but 2018 TV/monitor models will ship with HDMI 2.1 and next-gen consoles will for sure. HDMI 2.1 allows not only frame sycn tech but also 120hz output. Good times ahead :)

Are there any games, or better, any Bluray movies encoded in 10-bit out there? Or any movies encoded 10-bit/channel actually? What's the point of 10-bit, on a gaming monitor? Setting 40-bit in Windows desktop will most likely cut the fps in half in games...
