Gtx 660 and white stain on PCB

Hi, someone will possibly send me a gtx660, but in one of the photos I see something that I don´t know if it's okay. Appears to be white stain, corrosion or something. The person sent me a bench result and the temperatures are fine (dates are from today, all correct). Draws attention that stain appears near the power connector. It's normal, I'll buy it safely?

Get more pics with the back place off before you purchase. It looks like high heat discoloration, cant be sure without more pics to trace them out.

Seen on many new motherboards purchased ,could be flux that hasn't been cleaned off properly

Doesn't look like corrosion to me. It's probably just the moisture protection stuff they put on at the factory. Sometimes it gets all crusty looking like that. I've seen it many many times on hardware that's in perfect working order. Nothing to worry about.

If you got white goo stains on the back of your video card , you're doing it wrong

It looks a lot like seepage ....I take the whole back plate off if I were you and disassemble the card entirely

I think they are on the right track... You can see some discoloration on the backplate as well.
Could be from some wash or something that was done to card.

If you are buying the card used... I would be leary/suspicious of it.
The owner could have used something to clean it off to sell it; or, it got wet from a coolant leak.

if the previous owner watercooled it, that could be it, but then I would very leary about the card. I wouldnt buy it.

Might not be worth the hassle. I am thinking maybe a failing closed loop cooler dripped onto it.
2012 videocard, 5 years might be typical life of a clc before stuff leaks. The location on the backside definitely suggests a leak from the CPU area or off a radiator hose barb above the card.

I had an old closed loop cooler leak out and evaporate on my bookshelf and the dried fluid looked like that. The hose cracked where the hose entered the radiator.

I can't say for sure but I've had those stains on a couple of graphics cards (and extension cards in general) I owned. All of them worked fine, were never watercooled, and were in a clean case. I'd say it's some flux residue but not completely sure.
