Hi all,
I got little problem with my graphic card.
I was stupid and I flashed incorrect bios into this card without saving original, and now the card seems to be bricked.
Nvflash says that bios update procedure ends with success but my card shows always black screen.
After booting PC with integrated card, GPU-Z shows incomplete parameters and the card seems to be not running at all. ( visible in devices manager )
Can somebody upload here bios for this model ? What is available on techpowerup doesn't help.
Is it possible to do something with it ?

But if somebody provide me vbios from the same card i would try if it helps ?
It seems that every one single card has signed bios with unique key related with only this hardware.
And official tools for updating vbios doesn't touching this area, and others reflashing whole image.
I saw some options in nvflash that is possible to play with license files and I suppose that it can be something like I described above.

Hi.
I tried it already.
1. Unlocked write protection
2. flashed Gigabyte.GTX1050Ti.4096.161006.rom via nvflash
3. Shutdown system / plug out power cable / press power button to discharge all capacitors
4. Start system again with hdmi plugged into this card.
System stays a little bit longer in BIOS phase and finally goes to boot windows but all the time screen is black.
Switching HDMI to integrated graphic and rebooting system lets start system normally but what I see in GPU-z is attached in image at the beginning this thread.

I tried to reflash simmilar rom and I observed in gpu-z change bios version. Now is 86.07.22.00.69 and with different file it was something 86.07.22.00.83 or something simmilar.( last two digits were differnet but i can say now what exacly was there )

Two rom files are flashable into this card and it doesn't help.
Two other rom files available are not compatible with this card and it is not possible to flash.

Gigabyte.GTX1050Ti.4096.161006.rom seems to be suitable for this card and i got it now inside my card but it is still bricked.

the problem is this here. its like you forgetting your name, and asking someone else, what name fits....its a difficult task, which is why the first words in a flashing guide are always "save original Rom". all i can think, is to read a recovery guide, and be Certain your taking all of the proper steps, and then , go throug hthe list of Bios', and try each one until your get a working rom.

im sorry, but short of contacting Gigabyte, thats really all i can think of.
or change the title to include "bricked, or bad flash" and hope a knowledgeable member comes along.

The problem is (apparently) he doesn't know what revision or bios number he needs ,because he didn't take note of it before doing the flash, nor did he save an original Rom.

I've linked the entire list of bios' here on techpowerup , & another member has linked the manufacturers bios directory... hopefully he finds a suitable rom:rolleyes:

It should tell him that on a little sticker on the PCB surely though.

I've checked unverified roms like Tatty_One proposed:

193894.rom
191821.rom
191810.rom
191459.rom
190622.rom
Gigabyte.GTX1050Ti.4096.161006.rom
Gigabyte.GTX1050Ti.4096.161224.rom

7 different roms and nothing.

On stickers is only that it is model GV-N105TG1 Gaming 4GB rev 1.0 and serial number
There is no bios version.

If HDMI is connected to this card and PC is started then Motherboard bios hangs for 20 seconds and then seems that windows is going to boot. ( I see it on motherboard leds and HDD activity )
But all the time signal from card is present with black screen.

I lost my hope and I am pretty sure that there is signing issue.
Especially if i see param for nvflash:

licreq <file>,<reqType> Generate a License Request File by
specifying <reqType> to submit to Nvidia.

Did you try the aforementioned BIOS directly from Gigabyte?

Yes. I tried other software from Gigabyte to reflash BIOS.
Applicaiton including proper bios file and flashing ends with success.
But it doesn't fix the problem.

Either a step is being missed or something is being overlooked or there's a different problem here, that may have been caused by a bad flash but created permanent damage. I recommend trying different display cable types if u havent.

What are you using to flash like what program. Also please take a moment and make a list detailing each step that you're taking. if the GPU is still on some level being recognized, id think it could still be recovered. im no expert on flashing 10xx GPU's but it doesnt seem right

do the new Nvidia GPU's require disabling of the bios check, like 9xx in Nvflash??'

i KNOW someone here created a step by step recovery guide, ive linked it to others in the past, but for the life of me i cannot find it now

I have contacted to GIGABYTE. They suggesting to send graphic card over shop to warranty.
But they also telling that if bios update caused damage then warranty is voided.
My shop where i it bought says if gigabyte says that warranty is voided then they take 40 EUR or more operation costs.
Worst case scenario is that warranty is voided , shop takes 40 EUR and I need to pay for examination.
Better is to sell it on ebay for a few bucks as unknown defect after bios update.

I am thinking about this option in nVflash --licreq. What is this ? and what for ?

Have you already had problems with flashing bios to gtx10.. card ?
Does other bios flashed with nVflash working normally without problems ?

I am trying to determinate if flashing wrong bios caused hardware damage or it is only license problem.

I have the same problem, and my GPU is almost the same exact model: GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4G GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD

What happened is: I was updating my drivers and I was going to update my BIOS as well (because I didn't know nothing about how dangerous and important it is until now, unfortunatelly), then I downloaded and installed, from Gigabyte's website: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD#support-dl

But 100% of the time my screen is black, however my monitor detects it: it's power button goes blue (on) instead of amber (standby).
The result you see below...

1516709164663.png

I've tried to flash the BIOS with this one, which is exactly like mine: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/190061/190061 using nvflash64.

But, maybe I'm doing something wrong? How do I flash it properly? Or, is there something else I could do?
I've sent an e-mail to Gigabyte yesterday and I'm waiting for an answer.

Dear All,

Gigabyte GTX 1050 TI GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD

I have faced exactly the same problem after BIOS upgrade

Have you got any update from Gigabyte Technical Support?

Thanks for update
