Hello Folks,
ive tried to recreate the issue so i could record it, and of course, now it wont do it
I have been noticing an odd issue since getting
that when i sit down, and start typing, or touch my Metal KB drawer, or the KB itself, the static that has built up in my body, causes the KB to turn off, then back on. All the lights & functionality are off, for about 1 second, then it comes back on as normal (but not in its normal boot up sequuence, it just comes back on , like it had never been off.
im curious if there is issue with the KB, or if this is normal for static discharge? i have never had this happen, but i DO know for certain, it never happened before i got this Desk. If its nothing to worry about, ill ignore it. I have since put a small plastic cutting board under the KB to see if it stopped the issue, and sure enough it does, so it seems as though it is the metal drawer.
the KB in question is predominantly aluminum, and plastic, but the body/case is almost entirely metal.FWiW
