Right now GPU mining is profitable or it slowly going down? Is right now best time to buy a new gpu or still wait for a month and see what will happen? New GPUs new Asic miners maybe prices will fall or not ?

Rumors say we should see new video cards in the next few months. I refuse to spend my money on 2 year old tech.
Not sure if the new cards will be cheaper but at least the new features will be welcome.

Prices don't really ever fall on previous gen models.

There was a large supply at that time and Pascal beat the previous generation in performance by a large and uncommon amount. Supply isn't nearly as good today and there is no indication that the next gen (whenever that actually happens) is going to come close to what Pascal was in terms of a performance increase over the previous gen. I'm sure there will be a ton of used current gen cards for sale though.

Prices will tank on the release of new models just as they always do. No one is going to buy a 1080 at current prices when the 1160 will likely match or better it's performance. The each generation has it's home runs and it's failures. Look at the 1060 vs 980 below ... or 970 versus 780 Ti

Why release them? Competition from AMD is still 1+ years out at the high end. Refresh again or keep the same cards on the market and wait for AMD to surprise Nvidia. There really is no incentive for Nvidia to release their next gen cards till AMD has something to challenge them. So unless AMD pulls a fast one and dumps a 2.0-2.1Ghz 7nm RX Vega gaming card a year or so before Navi.. I don't see any reason for any movement on either prices or new architecture.

I can only say that where I am from, prices on top tier cards do not drop, newer gens are released at higher prices.
Entry level cards however may be at sale prices when newer entry level cards are released, and their prices remain at certain levels.

Prices drop according to remaining stocks. If old cards stocks still abundant at time of new gen cards release, you can bet that prices will drop.
