Why doesn't Thermalright get more love?

I feel like they just fly under the radar.

Their air coolers and fans beat out Noctua's air coolers and fans, but why don't they get more renegotiation? I have used them for years and I have never had any issues and their customer service is really good.

Is this news to you? Techpowerup's own reviews have Thermalright's Le Grand Macho RT beating out the Noctua D15 which is arguably one of the best air coolers on the market. They also match Noctua with their fans and some of their fans are quieter.

They have a pretty good selection on their Amazon store- it just blows my mind why they aren't more popular.

I know of them, however price can be a big factor or if avail or not. My rig I could of gotten a Macho Cooler or the Ashura. I got Ashura due to price and availability.

If anything Thermalright, Coolermaster, Thermaltake and Scythe are on my list of Coolers I like. People wont like me saying this but I don't care, Noctua are ugly and overrated.

Ah yes thermalright. I had a thermalright ultra 120 extreme cpu cooler to cool that i7 920 i had before. Great cooler so yeah thermalright does make great coolers. that cooler took the i7 920 up to 4.4 ghz and that is a 130 watt tdp cpu al ready stock. Thats not to shabby for a single tower cooler.

But i have to say that i am also very happy with the noctua nh-d14 i have now and mounted with there industrial ppc fans that are black. That looks way better than there poop coler fans.

I just wish they got more love because they are one of the best air cooler and fan companies out there. Not saying they are downright better than Noctua, but they are just as good if not better and Noctua is considered the best in the business.

They are well reviewed on most sites and I would recommend them. They tend to be in and out of stock a bit so people may see over priced units on amazon/newegg. They obviously don't do the volume of a cooler master or be quiet. Plus the whole industry is goo-goo ga-ga over RGB AiO units.

I agree. I just purchased a second hand ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme and let me tell you what it takes the Hyper 212 down like a boss. Honestly, I've been in the computer business for nearly a decade now and this is my first time hearing about Thermalright. Amazing how they fly under the radar with such great products.

They do. Just not in every country. In PL they're a popular enthuiast choice. TrueSpirit,Silver Arrow,Macho, they're all excellent while priced competitively. And there's my absolute favourite silver arrow itx

I had TR macho before,went for Noctua for practical reasons (6 year warranty,easy and quick mounting and quietness) but if I hadn't I'd buy a silver arrow for sure.

Thermalright are excellent all right, so it's a shame about the market penetration.

@eidairaman1 they're fugly all right. After 7 years, I still haven't quite accepted the yucky colour of the fans on my NH-D14. Whoever chose it must have done it as a bad joke on all their customers. However, you've dissed my favourite brand, so we gonna have dem wordz in pm about it.

I had their XP 90 as my first high end cooler. It was great, was sad I couldn't re use it elsewhere. I still have it at my moms somewhere.. I got an Ultra 120 Extreme back in 07 second hand, and that thing was a beast with a couple of 120x38 Panaflos, I used it for awhile on 1366, and then I tried a D14.. which I didn't keep for long. I got an H100 shortly after that and ran it for quite awhile because I lost some of the mounting hardware for my true. I couldn't find anywhere in Canada that sold Thermalright stuff for years until I discovered them on Amazon.com last December. I bought Le Grand Macho RT and it destroyed my H100 lol. But to be fair I kicked the crap out of it for five years with my x5690. True Spirit 140 Power caught my eye too because it was cheaper in cost than LGMRT, and rated for higher TDP. I use it it my main rig. They are both wicked coolers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone at any time. If you have the space, get one or both.

Thermalright is the bomb.
My first was SLK900 on socket 462.
I've had or still have many different models for other platforms. All were top performers.
The did chipset coolers also.

Thermalright makes some really awesome stuff. Their TRUE coolers were awesome, I owned a TRU and a TRUE, I had two TRUEs but gave one away.

I think the reason they don't get as much love is much cheaper coolers came out that were very close in performance. Their refusal to go HDT hurt them a little in this area, because the HDT coolers were getting very close to Thermalright coolers at half the cost or less.

Highlighted + Noctua have HUGE marketing budget (or TR too lazy to deal with reviewers) + they cheaper, so buyer with big pockets not so satisfied + TR have little brother - IceHammer: same OEM, a bit cheaper made heatsinks (maybe some sort of rejected products for quality reasons from TR) and cheaper fans

I used some of their coolers about 8-10 years ago for some clients and friends, but at that time they don't have any real competitors (OC Prescott/early C2 extreme/early 1366). Today i mostly use their fans, very respectful longevity 5+ years for cheap ones without cleaning: quiet, no issues with bearing (i hate arctic, so much marketing and most fans dead in 2 years).
