Sounds interesting and seems like it's going be released soon.

By adding a joystick on the inner side of the mouse and putting the whole mouse on a pivot without restricting normal movement, you can do anything with just one hand! While combining maneuvers, combating people or controlling your vehicle, you can now either drink your coffee or take the opportunity to do even more actions with your free hand.

Sadly i will not be getting one mainly due to being a lefty but it sure sounds interesting and worth keeping a eye on. How ever i do wounder how wear and tear will be.

It'll also add helluvalot of pain and suffering to your right thumb. The only acceptable joystick on a mouse is a tiny omnidirectional switch, like on some DSLRs and dashcams, so you could reduce the thumb stress and travel distance. Otherwise - it's arthritis waiting to happen.
Even better - something like a keyboard stick on Lenovo Thinkpads or HP Elitebooks (the one that does not move).

My first thought as well. This looks like a total joint massacre.
I like to imagine that employees at Logitech are fired just for proposing such designs on meetings.

Here's the thing... it's possibly easy to find a console-like joystick in a nearby electronic shop, so they used it...
There's a modelling store nearby and they sell these for $2.

I totally agree that small joysticks (like on cameras) would be such a welcome addition to PCs in general (all notebooks, keyboards, mice). It's such a pity they didn't become a standard. :/

I have about a dozen of those in my office, and a few tiny joysticks from PSPs (I used to fix those when they were still a thing).

There are few gaming keypads that use those. I wouldn't go as far as "becoming a standard", but in some cases they are super-useful.
I'm actually planning to use one of those on a miniature Bluetooth keyboard, so I don't have to brainstorm about interfacing and installing a physical touchpad on it...
