The Cooler Master MasterCase SL600M is a sleek, quiet chassis with an interesting and unusual layout within. On top of trying to cover both the low-noise and great cooling corners of the rink, it aims to be easy on the eyes. Throw in some cool features, like lit up USB ports and plenty of storage space, and the SL600M may just be on to something.

  • Unique placement of PSU with the ability to hide it perfectly
Not so unique as jonsbo has had same PSU placement for some time now. Like UMX4 You reviewed almost 2 years ago.

Oh look. A case where the primary point of interest is it's interesting cooling setup.

Oh look. No temperature testing, or even a vague nothing, sweetly whispered in that direction.
You even mentioned Cooler Master's claims regarding this, in your conclusion, but you didn't even bother to state whether you think those claims are bollocks or not.

Don't worry, I don't blame you - you can't state either way because you clearly don't actually know.

Fortunately, as usual, Gamers Nexus produced a real review:

No power switch on the back is a big oversight IMO. Could have been easily implemented like in other similar cases that have one.

Silverstone FT-02 reinvented, but I find the original to be the superior product.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
@Darksaber - We just got the PR blast from other sites... when is this supposed to be released? Not sure I saw it mentioned in the review......(I just skimmed it).

How big is the card? The specifications say it can hold a 318mm card... is your card smaller?

The airflow is a through-chassis design, from bottom to top. Not many of those kinda of cases around. This is a very innovative case in the fact that it has a lot of good features put together in the right way! CM has made some less than stellar cases, but with this one they scored a win.

@CoolerMaster
Very nice case! Now make a version of this case with a reset button next to the power button and at least one 5.25" drive bay, preferably two.

EDIT; Great review BTW.

Scattering the SSDs/HDDs mounts around with the inevitable cable mess is not the right way in my book; not to mention the lack of power button for the PSU which, in its turn, starves for air.
Besides, the Silverstone FT-02 had already shown the proper arrangement for a bottom to top airflow, where the fans cool everything: disks, GPU, CPU cooler, and the PSU has its own, filtered, intake. Even the cable management is superior.
You just had to eliminate the 5.25 bays to make it shorter (and hence have a 2x200mm fan as well) and put the disks vertically, screwed to the front wall (you could have 2 HDDs and 4 SSDs easily).

Cable management doesn't look like it would be much of a problem. To each their own.
Try reading a review of the case that's something more than just building an extremely basic system in it and then telling you it's amazing then. I linked such a review above.

Saw that link. I still say cable management will not be an issue.
You saw the link, but did you read the review?

The floor is lava in the SL600: there’s no PSU shroud at the bottom, which would be the usual spot to hide extra cables, and there are 400mm of spinning fan blades instead. The PSU is housed in a two-part cover at the front of the case which can be adjusted to take up more or less space. We have a lot of loose cables in our case review system, so we set it to the maximum possible size and still found it a little cramped. Cooler Master did a good job of providing plenty of tie points along the front and bottom edges of the case, but this case still requires more care than usual in strapping down every loose end to get the side panel on.
