It's $438 US according to Google's conversion rates atm.

That's a decent price for what's on offer. I'd replace the HDD with an SSD first thing after making restore discs.

EDIT; When suggesting replacement with an SSD, I of course imply that you should get and external enclosure for the 1TB and use it as a back-up/mass-storage drive.

I'm not sure what your primary reasons for purchasing this laptop are....but I watched Tech Epiphany's Youtube channel when I was checking out the graphics capabilities of the Ryzen 3 2200g. He also has a playlist for the Ryzen 3 2200U. Might be worth a look-see to determine the capabilities of the Vega 3.

In terms of GPU (or IGP) this is definitely better than most Intel offerings, the CPU is also pretty nice & you won't get too many better alternatives at this price.

Have you gone to the HP web site they are having a sale it looks like... you might be able to get what you want there, around that same price point or cheaper.
I was just playing around with their configuration tool and got $459.99 USD on the same one you are looking at but added the 15.6" diagonal FHD IPS BrightView micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1080). It looks like the one you are interested in, is $399.99 USD there.

Hope you get a good deal.

Anyway, this is a good buy. Most laptops up here are overpriced junk. AMD Ryzen 2200 is a decent processor. If one cares a lot of performance, getting better ram (DDR4 3000) and an SSD will grant you significantly better performance. But you can make that a longer term thing.

You may wanna look around some more. Locally I can get another variant of HP15 (DB0226) for around the same price. It comes with a 15.6" FHD screen. There is no reason to buy 1366x768 these days.
Locally I can get an OS-less version w/ FHD screen and 8GB DDR4 for around $420 USD (VAT included).
Performance-wise it's fairly good. iGPU is better than Intel's offerings, while the CPU performance is close to 8th gen Core i3-U (or 6th/7th gen i5 U-variant).

Also, an entry-level HP 15Z Touch w/ FHD option is around $440USD on HP store (starts at 400), and it starts with 8GB RAM, which is a much better deal considering Windows is included and it has a Touchscreen for those in need to smear their fingerprints all over the screen.

I was going to joke it's not worth it because of the French.
But in 2018 you really, really, really want to stay away from 5400rpm mechanical drives. And for at least 5 years you want to stay away from that 1366x768 screen resolution.

No mention of what you are going to do with it.... if all that is expected is to web browse and use an office suite will be fine. It will struggle with anything more than that.

Be aware that the "soft costs" on a laptop will be about $225... that includes packaging transportation,chassis, support, etc. So that means a $450 lappie has $225 worth of componentry and a $675 lappie has double that.

One of the ways manufacturer's augment that income id thru bloatware so 1st thing i'd do is get rid of all the budled stuff. We had a slw of lappies come in to be looked at some years ago and the problem was a "free' Trend Micro AV that at 6 months of age, just turned performance into a tailspin. uninstalling it solve the problem.

Thats pretty good for new laptop, but if you consider used prices than no. Remember, the 2200U is basically a mobile 200GE, so you only get a Vega 3 and 2c/4t

After looking at all the prices and what market has to offer I decided finally to upgrade a tablet with nicer case and add a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I also bought an external battery pack. So I basically transformed a ZTE Grand X View K85 into a mini laptop.

Why not!? I mean if the person does mostly social medias, forums, e-mails and small games it's plenty. The tablet has an 1.5 gig octocore, 2 gig ram, full hd screen and upgradable to 128gigs internal memory.
