Asus gtx 1050 ti 4gb expedition bios enquires

Well everyone i will have a faulty asus gtx 1050 ti expedition coming in a few days well the seller said it turned on but no picture. Is it possible to recover it via bios flash with nvflash. And second thing is the serial number is removed dont know why people doing that lately. So i will try and upload a few pictures once i have it in my handa. Anyone could see anything odd on there i could try and repair it if it possible

@Edwired Hopefully this guy is not selling you a fake card. First get a gpu-z screenshot of the card info and post it here.

If at any time the card shows that it is fake send the card back and get your money back

No display could mean he bricked the card, or a part of the power circuitry to tell the monitor to start showing display on the card might be fried too.

Please take pictures of the white stickers on the back of the card, make sure they can be read by us, post them here.

Take the heatsink off of the card, clean the gpu die and heat sink.

Take clear pictures of the GPU die up close and also one memory chip. Then take a board shot of the GPU die and all of the memory chips, on the front and the back of the board.

Post all of the pictures here please.

Apply your favorite thermal compound properly to the gpu die and re-attach the heatsink to the card properly.

Cool will do that i just hope he didnt peel the model sticker. I will take all close pictures with hdr mode on my phone and everything in between. I pray he didnt try the heatgun method. As he said there no signs of burnt marks on the pcb. As well it only cost me £30 about €34 not too much to lose if i can get it working that would be a bargin. Before i did brick a galaxy gtx 660 by a wrong vbios and i was able to recover it by using another graphic card as primary and secordary is non working and set the commands in nvflash to flash the second card and repeat to make sure it fully written

Most likely you will be able to do this in windows with nv flash, i will provide videos once you got the card in hand

Regardless if he peeled the sticker off I'd send the card back.

Since this graphic card dont have the pcie power plug on it so yea it could be simple as a reflash to the vbios which im hoping fingers crossed

It looks really clean but the seller is in spain and his english is not the greatest so had to simplified words and translatation. I know that just the seller been a tool not understanding what i was asking but he did say the long skinny strip is on it but i have to see it when it comes as it suppose to come with an original box so i have to check that. As both of the listed model i posted above as one has a higher boost clocks

Ok as long as the OG box has a bar code then i might be able to help out.

Just hope the video out ports or leads/traces/components aren't damaged.

Good news the asus gtx 1050 ti oc 04g is working all i had to do is reflash the bios and it works fine no crashing or funky issues. So had to use the asus gtx 750 ti oc in order to see if the gtx 1050 ti oc appear in the device manager yeap it showed there then i set up the newest nvflash and told it which gpu to flash and away it went now i just own a fully working asus gtx 1050 ti oc expedition for £30/€35 no one will be able to beat me on that deal

Just know this...there's no way in Hell you "fixed" it by flashing the BIOS...unless the BIOS had previously been messed with. You either got lucky AF with that being the only thing that had happened to it...or you knew that had happened to it ahead of time. Buying dead/not working graphics cards thinking you can fix them with a BIOS flash, without knowing what the problem is(or, rather, not knowing the BIOS is the problem), is a fool's errand.

Now theres a problem when the gpu is stressed in superpostion it shows some sort of yellow and green colour then the computer just reboot. I never had that problem before as the power supply is antec-hcg-850m it have 40a on both 12v1 and 12v2. Does that mean the gtx 1050 wants more amps?
