Bricked vega 56 performance bios switch.

Just flash them as they are. If you have problems, change the extensions to .rom or .bin(just rename the files to whatever.rom or whatever.bin). I don't think you'll need to though.

I tried that with atiflash 2.84. Still didnt work, missmatch id again =\
Didnt try .bin tho but guess is the same right?

Decompress the zip file, double click both.

Ask sapphire

But I need to do the same procedure right? change the switch to the non working and then try the files?

Yes

Follow the directions from sapphire if they gave you any.

Let them know.

I asked them but nothing until now, double click didnt work either, would open steam store to find an app.

Just stay in contact with them

there was a ati flasher that could flash bioses with miss-matched id..
not saying you should use it. just reminding people who are helping you that it exists.

Where is it at?

actually nevermind.
i have found what i was looking for on my pc and its not ati flash. it was nvflash..

Some ppl are saying that atiflash works bad in 1803 version of windows 10 even on 2.84, not sure if it´s that: Does it still exist something like the old windows boot with minimal stuff and drives like the securty boot? Dont remember the name. Could try that maybe. Sapphire still not answering

Get a SPI flasher, learn how to use it at this point.

Or contact them here

Because they aren't executables. They're actual BIOS files.

That's not even true. 2.84 works fine with 1803. You're getting the Subsystem ID mismatch because you aren't force flashing. Now...I'm only gonna say this once...so listen up. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FLASH A BIOS WITH A DIFFERENT SUBSYSTEM ID WITHOUT FORCE FLASHING WITH ATIFLASH OR USING A HARDWARE/SPI FLASHER.

If you ARE force flashing with ATIFlash and it still won't work...you're pretty much screwed. The only option left is to buy a hardware/SPI flasher.

Hmm i thought Sapphire had a custom software based flasher, I guess not.

So should I try to force flash by CMD dos? Or what?

I will ask them for the software

i always flash amd card from a usb boot disk I use rufus to make one, and put the flashing files and app on that

Vega can be a harder animal to fix.

What version of rufus did you use? I kinda tried that but the problem is the last atiflash versions that suport vega gpu dont run on DOS so not sure what to do here.

So they sent me a zip with 2 files of u44 extension and u02. What I do with this?

Could you please upload these files ? I'm curious if they're newer than the current BIOS on the cards.

Btw. your issue is the V64 BIOS. For some reason atiflash won't allow flashback vega 56 sapphire pulse bios 1 write fail
Your only option is RMA or SPI flash.

How dumb and risky is to try to flash my currently working bios which is in power save mode to the turbo performance one that Sapphire suport sent me? At this moment all I care is have a functional card at performance mode.

You should be able to look at your past experience to answer this question.

I mean, using atiflash and using their bios is that a horrible idea or a calculated one? I can try my luck and ask Sapphire for a v64 compatible bios no?

Yes I will upload it later at home. Did you manage to fix your Vega56?
RMA you mean using the garanty?

yeah dont do that..
undoubtedly you will eventually manage to flash the bad bios, but mean while dont mess up the working one.

Ya, im afraid of do that, card is working fine. Probably wouldnt even notice any inscrease in performance since I run my P7 at 1035mV on the daily use right? Its only 15 wats more after all. Is there a chance that someone finds a software solution in the future or a update of atiflash?

Cut the crap out, you won't get a 64 bios to flash correctly to that card, just overclock using wattman or msi afterburner.
