hello guys

in a previous thread i was getting help for setting up a system around 60,000 rs.

here is the list that friends have suggested me https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/rBchQZ

the thing is i am not getting any further response from the kind friend who had suggested this list so i need anybody to please suggest a 16 gb ram instead of the 8 gb.

also please suggest a budget cooling fan for the cpu. that is at least better than the stock cooler.

thanks very much

I have a 16GB (2x8GB) kit of 3000MHz Crucial Ballistix Sport LT. I tried looking it up in your area, but the 2666MHz version looked significantly more expensive than that HyperX kit for some reason.

Regarding that HyperX kit, I had 4x4GB HyperX Fury Black DDR3-1600 in my old system and it worked great.

Just realized that build you linked to only had 8GB. No wonder there was a huge price difference.

Here's the kit I mentioned. This is a slower version of the kit I currently have: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XJ68LK5/

Here's a 16GB kit of HyperX: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XNN3PFP/

Not sure how that converts to USD; over here the HyperX is about $10 more expensive than the Crucial kit.
thanks so much for finding this out for me....

why is this 19k? when the 8 GB one is around 7k only...i was expecting it to be around 14 k.......?

Yeah, the pricing is like that here too. A single 8GB DIMM of the Crucial is $44 here, but the 4x8GB kit is $180.

Your best bet might be to buy two of the 8GB ones separately instead of a kit.

That is one of the kits I considered getting before settling on the Crucial because it was cheaper at the time. I've heard great things about it.

I find it weird that the 12k offer isn't directly on the page. In the US, that usually means it's being sold by a third party, or it's used. I noticed the 19k kit I mentioned said it was "fulfilled" by the seller. I don't know if that's anything like "Amazon Fulfillment" over here, where Amazon ships and does returns for products even if they are sold by third parties.

I'd say go for that one since it's the best deal so far. You probably know more about how Amazon.in works than I do.

ohhh i see

plz dont mind if i ask again about this one
coz as u said if i buy 2 of these will that work? coz its even cheaper and a laymans guess- i think this one is better than corsair??

https://www.amazon.in/HyperX-Predator-HX429C15PB3A-2933MHz-DDR4/dp/B07CHPVVFN/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3LKH0IM2HZ5ZI&keywords=hyperx+fury+ddr4+8gb&qid=1555746472&s=gateway&sprefix=hyper+x+fury+ddr4,aps,264&sr=8-5
Yeah, buying two of those would work. The page says only one is left in stock though.

The Corsair is clocked higher than the HyperX one, but it has higher latency.

Honestly in terms of real world use, there probably wouldn't be a noticeable difference.

1. You are aware of what you need to do about the BIOS thing ?

2. RAM Options:

DDR4-2666 CAS 16 (₹12902.48 ) https://in.pcpartpicker.com/product...gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-2666-memory-bls2k8g4s26bfsdk
DDR4-3000 CAS 15 (₹11398.00) https://in.pcpartpicker.com/product/MYH48d/corsair-memory-cmk16gx4m2b3000c15

Going higher gets you well into the ₹ 11300.00 range ... The DDR4 3000 sets is significantly better buy. NEVER buy single sticks... put 2 together and you have no warranty.

3. From a price / performance standpoint, nothing comes close to matching the $45 Scythe FUMA ... availability in India isn't so good for Scythe products. The Scythe is 11c better than the $30 Hyper 212 but dunno if you can find in in India. You do not need anythiung more than the stck cooler nless it's regularly over 100F (38C) in your neck of the woods. The Hyper 212 is cheap all over the world

4. Case has a Maximum CPU Cooler Height of 150mm .... the cooler according you your amazon link is 160mm tall so no go. According to Amazon info....

This one is 100mm

thanks very much for your reply man

i have already ordered the hyper x ram they got 2 in stock now so a total of 16gb.
why do you say never buy a single stick? coz in case of failure that is??

and u saved my life regarding that cooler, i had no idea it wont fit (kinda silly) . i will order one of what u suggested now

thanks man
