That's not low end for a third world country.

Do you drink, smoke? Go out with friends to movies? Go out to eat? I made $10 an hour most of life sometimes $8 an hour, but I never did any of those things, gaming is all I do, it wasn't hard at all to afford even high tier PC.

Work and spend your money wisely for long term enjoyment not short term.

After having the card for a few months, and constantly testing it. The heat/cooling performance is the downside. The card is always throttled. In months of testing, the highest avg GPU speed I've ever gotten was around 1,550mhz. If the card could maintain its stock speed, performance would be fantastic.

Man you really have no idea. Multiply the cost of hardware by... let me check the current rate... 46x, and add a 50% thanks to taxes and reasons. Also, earn less than that.
A 1650 would be "fine" if it wasn't so badly priced compared to the competition, and a 570 would be good if it didn't have that stupid power consumption that GCN carries with it since 2012.

I guess I didn't realize Argentina was third world, I thought most of South America was first world, outside of Venezuela, with as much oil as they have they should be first world... heh

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

Check the inflation charts. We suck.

First World means siding with America during the Cold War, Third means "meh, we'll do it our way", which we did, kinda, for a time.

Some pictures from your case with the side panel opened could help us identify your case's airflow condition which I think isn't optimal in order to cause you that strong throttling. Or maybe the fan curve you set is the cause of that.

Indeed, that's utter BS. ANY Radeon VII can do 1750mhz easily and mine even does up to 2000 on auto oc, which, admittedly, did crash but for no obvious reason other than bad drivers, a broken os drive I had to return and windows generally being utter crap!

That person is trolling, needs a better case or even has a faulty VII. Honestly, no matter which it is, I'll make sure not to take "advice" from that person, just because every review CLEARLY showed much better clocks, so that person could have figured out something was not quite right THREE MONTHS ago! XD

It would be nice if TPU did another review. Retest RTX 2060, 2070, 2080 and 2080TI and Vega 56/64/II on their latest drivers.

@W1zzard I know it's time consuming, but any chance you could throw an amd test bed in to the mix too?

Maybe just for a few title for CPU comparisons?

If only as 26/2700x are more likely to be what end users are using vs the small % who will buy the i9.

Thanks for the update none the less. I look forward to seeing which titles get gains from the step up in CPU power.

way too time consuming to maintain two platforms, if zen 2 turns out to be a winner i might change to amd, but for now the cpu limit for 1080p with 2080 ti could be a problem

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about maintaining both. But more, just run a few of the outliners again on the amd system. See how much games which are single threaded lag behind and if games that have multi thread support claw anything back.

But as you say, with Zen 2 looming on the horizon it makes sense to wait for that before investing too much time into it.

Anyone got a Radeon VII here? Was wondering what the spacing for the retention screws are, have some old universal water cooling blocks lying around, if they fit then it would be a interesting upgrade over my two 290X in CF.

First World means siding with America during the Cold War, Third means "meh, we'll do it our way", which we did, kinda, for a time.

Funny thing is, Sweden was firmly in the «non aligned» camp, making it a 3rd world country. (insert Scandinavian piss talking and old jokes here)

Only a month 1-2 month wait for 3700x though I thought? Might as well just wait a bit longer and do a 9900k/3700x comparison as well on latest drivers.

I am not sure the workload required for this kind of testing, just would hate to see you get burned out now, and not want to do 3700x and 9900k comparison on latest drivers with various gpu's, etc. May 2019 Windows Creators Update is almost here too, so best to just wait another couple months imo.

It's still 3 months before Ryzen 3700x release. That's a long time to wait for something to test while it's possible to do it right now.

Honestly, I get why people want to see benchmarks on the fastest CPU possible, but if you look at the market share, it's so freakin low and doesn't make sence. The best selling CPU's are currently the 2600, 2600x and 2700x. Just look at Amazon, Mindfacory and even when I look in my country, the R5 2600 is the best rated and best selling CPU at the moment. But what do reviewers use currently, the 9900k. Only to limit the bottleneck that 9/10 gamers DO have to show results 9/10 games will never have...

If you search for car reviews, do you search for a realistic review, or do you want to see a review on the smoothest road possible with no turns, no wind and no ups and downs in the road? So why do PC reviewers try to hard to show the least representative figures?

Because those are for GPU reviews, you want to see the best performance it has. I would like to have dual tests, one wit a 9900k, one with a 2700x.

I agree with you mostly, honestly I don't want to own a CPU that hits 95 celsius while playing games at stock settings. That is main reason I am waiting for the 3700x. so it's not even just about money. it's about well room temperature, fan noise, etc.

I might go for 3800x or 3700x, but I def know my next CPU is going to be one of those. I just hope they don't hit 90+ celsius at stock like 9900k does. (my cooler is the giant heatsink Noctua NH-D14)

Amd is fairly easy to cool nowadays, but what do I know woth a h150i pro! XD Still, everything's supercool at quiet everything, doubt that would be the case with 9900k and I could even overclock no problem at all! :p

Same here buddy. My next upgrade is going to be the Ryzen 3700x and if AMD blesses x470 owners with Ryzen 4xxx support ( and that is to be expected, I'll upgrade next year aswell :)
Fun thing about AMD upgrades, you don't have to get a second job for them :D

That entirely depends on where you live where I live unfortunately at the bottom of the world in a small nation it costs alot to upgrade $1200+ just for new mobo cpu and ram

man I thought this would bring the green cards forced to bring down price...

meh, hoping to get that 2080 but even 1080ti is still too pricy for me to get this time due to higher pricing here in korea..

oh well, I will still hold on to my 1060 for quite sometime
