I hear DX12 is still stuttering. I guess that means the majority of people use DX11?

How should we test it in our graphics card reviews?

If DX12 causes stuttering across brands, I'd ignore it. Case in point, and sorry to drag it up, but my crossfire 7979 set-up from way back gave blistering FPS in some titles but a noticeably poor, stuttering performance. High FPS is only half the story, it's a worthless metric if the actual 'experience' is sub-par.

Do a BF5 review with a couple of popular gpus and the most powerful ones. Keep the api with the most consistent fps.

I don't think there's any doubt that DX12 still has some stuttering in BF5?

I would assume that stuttering causes massive inconsistency across the board. If it affects everything and there is no fix then the results are worthless. I would certainly note that in any review. This title's DX12 implementation is severely flawed and results in stuttering which adversely affects our ability to properly benchmark it. No one is going to play it on DX12 if stuttering is a common occurrence. Doesn't the shiny sauce(ray tracing) require DX12?

It does. But I won't test with RTX anyway because then results vs AMD wouldn't be comparable

I guess I was hoping you were asking in advance of testing something "new" if you know what I mean...

Yeah I'm testing new games on new drivers, with 9900k, new OS installation, new motherboard
