Sounds good with the ipc thing. But looking at older news from april/may. 10 nm dosent look so promising when it comes to platform aviability.

As 10 nm only seems to be at lauch limited pieces aviable and also sems to be for laptops and low power chips only. Next year only laptops and maybe servers. If roadmaps leaked are true, desktop cpu for 2019 and 2020 will yet again be a boring 14 nm++++++ manufacturing. Maybe even throw 2021 also. So we first see a nm shrink for for desktop in 2022. Cant say if its true or not. Rumors even say that intel drops 10 nm for desktop and go directly for 7 nm for desktop releases and that might also explain why 2020/2021 cut end up being 14 nm releases. Nothing is comfirmed, but if true and intel release yet another 14 nm desktop release for 2020.

Im going ryzen 3000. Im tired of intels 14 nm bullshit and high prices. Lets see what really happens, but if 14 nm. Goodbey intel and hello team red.

I imagine the clock speed will be higher for the desktop version. This is the mobile chip.

yep this competition is heaven for us gamers. give it one to two more years to really reach its climax, we are due for some excellent performance gains

intel slaps back hard, and the Infinity Fabric moves to DDR5 high speed ram at 1:1 ratio... along with more IPC gains and clock increases... going to be sex...

and then Intel slaps back hard again with their 7nm... hehehehe good times are coming
