Hi All,

So I am buying my CPU this month, going for the AMD 3950X and have my case already (Corsair 1000D, it will be watercooled on a custom loop with dual Vega 64's (I have these already) and twin NVME

I am planning on 2x 2TB Corsair MP600 NVME drives. so it would need to be able to support both of those. However reading reviews the performance doesn't seem to be there so I may go for twin Samsung 970 Evos

I had originally decided on the Asus Crosshair VIII which I was looking forward to due to the added watercooling for the VRMS, However with the dual cards (which are WC'd) it will be a tighter fit.

Ideally I'd have preferred a EATX board but it doesn't have to be. Anyone doing my due diligence can anyone suggest other good, high end boards for the X570.

I'd have loved to get a board with two PCI-E x16 slots for the cards instead of running x8/x8 but I don't know if this is possible.

I will be looking to overclock the motherboard.

I've previously gone Asus as I like the Bios and found it easy to use however I don't want to limit myself. Also the Crosshair is probably one of the most expensive boards and is it really worth the additional cost?

Thanks people. appreciate the help provided.

This is amazing, Sad news, looks like no boards support dual x16 bandwith, only x8/x8 but it gives me a lot of ideas, However it looks like it would be the MSI Godlike or the Asus Crosshair VIII Formula

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-X570-GODLIKE/Specification <--- has 4x16...... what will you do with this box? sounds fun. i guess it doesnt work x16 x16 ;(

  • 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ support PCIe 4.0 x16/x0/x0, x8/x0/x8, x8/x4/x4 mode

Just my new personal, general build, looking at the following specs

Corsair 1000D
Seasonic 1200w Platinum
Asus/MSI Flagship X570 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
Sapphire Tech Vega 64 Nitro + in Crossfire
EKWB CPU cooler
Bykski GPU waterblocks
EKWB Pump/Res
EKWB 360mm Rads x 2
32GB DDR4 3600 Mhz CL14 RAM (Gskill)
2x 2TB NVME M.2 SSD's in Raid
10TB HDD (storage)

I think that's it.
