Still high priced, I bought a new 512 GB from eBay for $130 about 3-4 months ago. It came with a partial retail container, just the plastic clamshell with manual not the outer box, it had zero TBW, and had never been installed, but probably Samsung warranty service would be difficult. If you are willing to take the risk as I did, there are a lot of sellers unloading these cheaply.

Could be fake on Amazon too. Although newegg's third party sellers are a risk too.

I know its the pro ... but i dont get it, why they are so much more. I bought A 950pro 512 when it first came out .. it came with / has A 10 year warrnty ect ect ..

And when you look at the XPG SX8200 pro ( ASX8200PNP-1TT-C) Size , Speed, reviews ... Its not even fair vs value. Also should note it goes on sale alot. I grabed one from amazon 2 weeks ago it had a $15 off coupon made it 130 at the time ... and I have seen newegg sale them for 110.00 ( but were sold out before I could click )

really? i have purchased a few flashdrives / memory cards that didnt pass the test on amazon but a 970 pro fake? really?
OK just googled it, it actually was from the factory / warehouse.. people who purchased directly from samsung not a third party seller have had this issue. SO how to stop it? buy used? they look like shoddy fakes too, dont work DOA glued heatsinks crooked etc..
Seems like anyone could purchase replace item inside , reshrink wrap and return it. We need robots to test the items that are returned!
i dont know how much the newegg price would be nice if people posted prices!

Microcenter has them (in-store only, after submitting a 'price request', i.e. giving my email address) for $139.99

I am reasonably confident these are not fake.
