Im fairly sure virtual racing ,fighter or starfox were the first 3d polygon based games?.
We can be fairly certain Microsoft and AMD will use dx12 RT so I can see Nvidias Rtx running it , but it's being reported that Microsoft and Sony are using different methods for Raytracing, that could make for three methods.
What was the first 3d polygonal game?
Just a random thought for me. I'd like to think that it would be stun runner because that game is one of my favorite games, and has pretty early 3d in it, but I doubt that was the first one. Anyone have any clue? Oh yeah and to anyone who remembers stun runner, its coming out on midway arcade...

Apparently not... But good call nonetheless. There was indeed a time when consoles could do different things than a PC. But then again... the whole gaming thing was in its infancy to begin with. Going from the first Playstation, consoles have been following, not leading.
So... again Seeing is believing, so far the past consoles releases have been a very underwhelming affair, especially performance wise. This news piece announcement reads to me like 'the Xbox will do 1080p' and the 'PS4 can do 4K'. Historically also the GPUs under the hood were always derivatives of existing products for quite some time now.
