fake gpus

i just recently got duped in a local deal for a pair of supposed gtx 960 4gb cards
turns out these are chinese fakes
i purchased a programmer and have the software for it also have bios files from here
from what im able to find 1 is a gts 450 and the other is a gt 430

however no matter what bios file i try the program turns back an error
i have tried different programs from different download locations all the same
is there anyone who can point me in the right direction

You need to get a look at the die it self if you cant get any reading from either cpu-z or hardwareinfo64

Yep, pull the heatsink off. Tells you right on the core.
It's likely they are truly 400 series gpus.
BUT IMO ...
Send them back. Make a claim. Don't even waste your time with them.

i didnt buy them online they were gotten in a local deal

You'll want to take pictures of everything front and back.

Let @eidairaman1 have a look for you. If anyone can find the bios files you need, it's him.

Im here, need clean die pics, board shots front and back and ram chips on card, clear legible info, bear in mind some boards may have more than 1 model of ram chip so verify each are the ssme on the card or post the ones different.

You will likely need a hardware programmer also, and not a "program" like nvflash.

You may well find it not worth the effort in that instance.

ive mentioned clearly they were gotten locally no seller to report other then on offerup nothing else i can do with that
i honestly dont care what cards they are so long as they work
what im going to use them for doesnt matter they just have to work with drivers installed so flashing them is perfectly fine for me

second card somehow the etching rubbed off but it reads gf106-110-kc-a1 as i tried searching it before

there you go sir pics posted i have no screenshots as windows wont even load a default driver for then remains unknown device,and since i tried flashing them already now i get no display at all so flashing is the only option for them ,once i can find the right bios for each currently the bios on these cards are clear

the cards are bricked but i do have the eeprom programmer so not worried there
also i love TPU i would never abandon

just going to ignore repetitive comments

how am i supposed to return the cards when the seller on offerup has blocked communication lol,besides as ive said the model of the cards are irrelevant doesnt matter to me just matters that they work
also i like a challenge and love learning new things so it wouldnt be a waste of time if ive learned something new in the process

Put your rx 580 in the top pcie 16 slot-plug monitor into it, plug your fake card in the second pcie 16 slot.

yes and yes then it shows a huge long list of commands then closes im unable to do anything with it

Good policy, however people come here with 580s constantly that need a reflash due to mining.

Try the other 2 tools.
