How do I know that the game comes with a media, I have a slow internet connection, I prefer media.

I can get all the info about the game but no details about installation media at Amazon, should I presume they all are download from internet and come without game installation discs?

You could screen cap the purchase screen or check it to see what you ordered. All the games I get on amazon are disc based. They do have download codes or something but never bothered with that yet.

I love this game and I think my new system needs a 2060 for it.

Yeah, that's what I am concerned about, When they say download code, does that mean they don't come with discs?
When you say I could screen cap the purchase and check that, are you referring to checking the screenies with Amazon?

Download code means no disc. Eaither you download from them direct or use code on steam for example.

....that would mean a piece of paper with a code written on it so it can be downloaded.

If it doesn't state media/disks are included, then it doesnt come with one.
Thanks for the reply, it says "Media; CD-ROM
Platform: Windows 7 / 8"

I wish Amazon offers some game sales like Steam does, I don't like Steam so I refrain from purchasing from them. Whenever I install their steam engine on my PC, it slows everything down when I go on to the internet, like a spyware does.

I wish Amazon sells some old games on discounts. Do you know of any other online game stores?

I'm dumbfounded to say the least. With your system specs, Steam running in the background shouldn't affect you. Only during windows start up when every other program turns on. Check the start up tab in Task Manager.

If you don't want these annoying launchers (or spyware as you say) buy games from gog.com. It's owned by CD Project, so trustable. You download from there once. Backup in blank DVDs if you want abd generally just forget about anything but scratched disk and/or the games.

I've bought several games at lower than retail pricing from Amazon; I got a code and a download link, in some cases.

In other cases, I got a sealed disk.

As long as you buy from Amazon, I don't see any problems.
My codes are still on a page in my account, if I need them for anything in the future.

Amazon is a retailer so if they are selling physical items, those items obey the laws of supply and demand. Older games you can often buy a retail copy of for less than it is selling on digital stores because they want it gone to make room for new inventory.

Generally the publisher sets the price. Some old ones have been neglected so they remain expensive.

If you want boxed versions of PC games you could try Amazon.co.uk. It would seem to be the best Amazon store for Parts and peripherals in terms of variety.

Why use a DVD when they load GOG games from a USB drive just fine.

I take it from friends of mine that more and more games will be offering download version rather than media, is that true?

I haven’t consciously purchased physical media in almost a decade I have over 500 games on Steam alone and prob close to 200 on the other platforms/launchers. I would need dedicated room to store all those discs. You’ll also find that very few new cases even have a slot for a media drive to read them. My games will never get scratched, I can install and uninstall them when I want and they are always in the same place theres literally no down side to platforms like Steam etc.
You’re going to find purchasing physical media even.more difficult than you’re already discovering publishers have been moving to digital platforms like Steam, publishers like EA and Ubi have their own digital platform/stores to sell their games.
