i was just gifted the surface book 2. it does have a gtx1050. i tried fornite few hours ago, and it played very smooth on auto settings, no lag, no stutters. the book did get pretty warm to the touch though.
is there way to control fan?

It is a slim laptop, it's normal but it may throttle though at some point.

is there way to control fan?

I don't think there is.

You could try a laptop cooler under it, it may help cool it off a few degrees.

Some lappies have a hidden manual key combo that manually pushes fan9s0 to 100% ... wouldn't guess on a surface ... IIRC for Clevo, it's Fn+1

If you use a cooler ... DO NOT plug it into the laptop ... seen many lappies USB ports fried that way. Use a USB hub with it's own power supply.

TBH, just lifting the back edge to get it off the table/desk/bed (wherever you are using it) helps a ton. It also improves ergonomics....raising the monitor height to keep you from slouching. MAny of the reviews I did ended with something like a brick would be as beneficial, unless you buy it for more USB ports.

Unless there has been a huge swing in what the market offers now, most of the laptop coolers with fans did not do much in the way of cooling for me. Never had an issue using the USB ports to power the test subjects.
