So I've been having this issue lately and I don't know what is causing it.

My screen will randomly get all these green and red square graphical errors on it, then my screen will go black, after a few seconds it usually comes back on and it crashes some programs after. But it never happens when I am in game.

Specs:
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Motherboard Aorus B450 M
GPU AMD Radeon RX 560
Don't really remember the rest
But all the parts are only a couple months old except the GPU and the HDD.

I am thinking maybe its my GPU thats failing but I want to be sure before I go and get a new one. also find it really weird how it does not happen when I am in game if that is the case

Check out the event log for "display driver" errors. Sounds like bad graphics card.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? But i recall something similar happening to my AMD card a few years back pretty sure it was from overclocking it a wee bit much :)

That sounds like a bad gpu.
You can downclocking the gpu and adding a bit more voltage.
It's possible that it can't run and the default ones.
Still not a good sign but you might be able get a bit more use out of it.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Not sure what a power supply has to do with it...they dont cause artifacts.

That said, sounds like the card is bad if you tried different cables and outputs on the card, and different drivers. If all efforts dont work and it is out of warranty ty, try to bake it (see threads on how to do this). Maybe a reflow can help.
