Taking recomendations for new gaming mouse.

Well I'm pretty sure my MX1000 finally bit the dust. I was wondering from all you ppl what you would advise me to purchase to replace this thing. Looking to keep it around the $50 mark , and possibly get 2000 or better DPI also.

Any and all ideas are appreciated..........peet :toast:

Also just for some added info....cord or no cord , doesnt matter. And yes size does matter here, I can't go back to something tiny. After using the MX1000 I'm pretty sure I want to replace it with a mouse with some size and girth to it!

The newer model that replaced the MX1000 was the MXRevolution.

I own both, and if you liked the feel of the MX1000, the newer model is about 5x better.

I personally have to say the MXRevolution is not the best gaming mouse... it is more for photoshop with insane accuracy. If you do get it, the way to make it a gaming mouse is to DISABLE the left side scroll wheel. Very annoying. Push it during a game and your dead. The Razer Deathadder is better.

TBH I dont think th MX1000 was the best for gaming as well. But I didi love all the extra buttons to use durring gameplay. Never really had a lag issue with dead time(not moving the mouse for a sec then moving again) .But now that is 2 votes to the Adder, hmmmm really starting to sway the final decision, but what does the adder feel like , is it tiny or comparable to say a MX518?

The adder is a tiny 2 finger mouse as to where the logitechs are designed for 3 finger (left middle and right) use. I would use either a 518, or revolution.

This warning has been included to comply with Californian legislation (Proposition 65) as the cable bundled with your device contains a very small amount of lead to keep the copper wire and plastic cable more malleable.

This cable design is very common and used in practically all household appliances. In our testing the average lead content of our cables is between 100 and 300 parts per million (ppm), significantly lower than in many household appliances at 1000 ppm.

So, considering that just about every cable you own probably has at least 3x more lead than our cables, unless you wash your hands after touching any electronic device you own, I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't chew on the cable.

Razer copperhead... is the bomb

but it depends on how you hold it...

you grasp the logitechs with your full hand

the razer's are more for your fingetips and your hand kind of hovers over it

if you get pissed off easily get a logitech so you can chunk it at the wall, the razer will not piss you off so it isnt designed to be grasped or have insane aerodynamics such as the revolution

Well boys I think the hunt for a mouse is over for the time being. Left this thing unplugged for like 2 HRS and did another reset and it seems to be working fine now....go figure.

Thanks for all the help and will keep all this info in mind ,as I may get a new one anyways just to be sure if this one does completely poop out!
