Problems with Gigabyte Radeon RX 5600 XT

I have built a new system with Ryzen 3600X, Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC and Gigabyte Radeon RX 5600 XT. Now I'm having serious problems with this video card. It randomly crashes my PC, a lot of BSODs occur, Adrenalin cannot load occasionally and the installed video drivers disappear. Sometimes I can work and play for the whole day without a single problem, but sometimes I'm getting BSODs several in a row with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, KERNEL and similar issues. Normally, to get the video drivers stabilised, up and running, I need to reload the PC several times after BSODs. I've tried different versions of Windows 10 including the latest one (2004). I've tried different video drivers starting from the version 18x till the latest 27x. The BIOS of my mobo is updated to F2, as well as the BIOS of the video card to F3. Nothing helps except changing the card back to my previous Sapphire Radeon RX 570. Any thoughts on that?

This seems to be a common problem with those graphic cards, see if there is an updated bios for it from gigabyte

do ya have a friend or neighbor where ya could swap out parts?
i know some peeps here dont like amd and corsair lpx memory.
how is your ram running? at 2400mhz or everything standard?
did ya clear cmos?
newest bios on motherboard?

Yes, I should have done my homework better and never buy this video card. Now, I see it is a common problem.
It seems the updated bios (F2), which I've installed is even worse. People recommend to revert to F0.
RAM is running fine as before (I've only replaced motherboard, SSD and video card, other parts are are from my previous build).

both have F3 bios

also it may be a long shot but maybe if you update to the latest win 10 it might fix something you never know.

Rma it and get a different brand, gigabyte gpu's are notorious for problems and crappy qc/inadequate cooling etc, yes doing some research into what you were buying might have been a good idea in hindsight, but we all learn one way or another so next time you'll know

LPX and Ryzen is a big no-no as are Gigabyte GPU's in general..... it's almost like the OP thought what's the worse components I can put together for a Ryzen build then went all out on GB and Corsair LPX

OP, as a former Navi "user" (I say it that way because I never actually got to use any of the cards I had), my best advice to you is either return that PoS card and just keep using your RX 570 (My Sapphire Nitro RX 580 was my rock during my Navi clusterfuck) until Ampere later this year (though the lower end xx60 and/or xx50 cards may come a bit later) or, if you need a card now -- and want a hassle free experience -- return that 5600XT and pick up something like a GTX 1660 Super or RTX 2060 (non Super).

Solved. Faulty are drivers and Gigabyte software . I have completely removed Adrenaline, all the Gigabyte utilities including the EasyTune engine and the drivers. Then I have downloaded everything from the AMD site, extracted only drivers from the latest AMD package and installed them manually one by one (processor, chipset, graphics). Now, for a few days, not a single BSOD anymore. I have even been able to update Windows 10 to 1909 and no BSOD either.

My bro is using a second hand GTX 970 Giga Xtreme and so did my friend for years with no issues.

You can bump into meh/crappy models/series from any brand. 'XFX first version of Thicc 5700, various issues with Rog Strix's cooler on the 5700,etc'

Gigabyte's 5600-5700 Gaming Serie is decently made, even some of the more strict review sites/channels had that conclusion. 'Gamers Nexus for example and they have no issues criticizing hardware when its needed'

If anything its their software that can cause problems, in my case I had to disable Aorus Engine Windows startup else it was conflicting with my AMD Wattman undervolt settings.

Afterburner is great but AMD's utility is anything but mediocre and I also remember the days when it was years and not months (and in some cases weeks) between AMD driver updates. If anyone's to blame it's Gigabyte's software engineers for not vetting their utility against hardware (especially when the system is basically all Gigabyte).

the drivers likely got partially corrupted as you were doing updates. I don't have the same parts but I've for ex updated from AMD driver version A to version B and had all sorts of issues. I would then do a "clean install" of driver version B and all problems go away. I will never do an "over the top" update on GPU drivers again. So I always do clean installs now, ie, removing the previous drivers before updating to the newer version. As you can see I had problems AND success with the same exact driver version, it was the method of installation that made the difference for me.

Yes. I was using DDU to clean the system from the drivers. Several crashes, boot in a safe mode, then install only the drivers anew and the problems have gone.
