Working on it.... You helped me a lot thanks
Also one thing any good recommendations for budget cpu, I'm trying to get the price as low as possible maybe about $35 or maybe less and i use online shop but not a universal one
according to your CPU support list, your "best" upgrade would be an i7 2600/3770. Depending on the game you may or may not see a difference in performance (you would need to research the exact game). As far as costs goes, in the USA even the non-K i7-2600 will go for over $50 used on ebay. You may want to start saving for an entire modern platform (CPU+mobo+RAM) upgrade at this point.
Alright working on it and I've got 4 psu in mind its between
Powerstation2 550 w
Gamemax gp 450 w
Digital alliance 500 w
Imperial 600 w
So which one is good for my situation
the powerstation2 has recalls on it
digital alliance uses an old platform
never heard of imperial 600w
all fall under the pure junk category
I've actually heard of Game Max but mostly for cases. That PSU seems to least use a DC-DC platform with most of it's power on the 12v rail, a step ahead of the others. It's also bronze rated (most likely for 25c) and I see no UL number on it so no clue who makes it. If you put a gun to my head of the PSU you listed I would take it otherwise I would keep on shopping.
600W is a sweet spot. I was in your situation 10 years ago, and was using bad local psus. And they kept breaking every few months. After that i got the corsair gs600 and it is running ever since.
The more power u get, the less stressed it will be while using and hence generally last longer.
Get a power supply from reputable brands like Corsair, Coolermaster, EVGA, etc. Check the reviews. A bad 600W one is going to be useless.
I think you mean well but this is poor advice as proven by Azee post above. 600w is not a user "sweet spot" but rather a marketing sweet spot. Typically PSU that are 500,600,700w., are aimed at uniformed users looking for the most power as cheap as possible but are on mediocre platforms. In markets where the top brands don't exist these PSU can often be on ancient platforms (in tech terms) that may be dangerous or severely under powered for modern PC like Azee's powelogic special that markets itself as a 500w unit but it's doubtful it could hit 150w in a modern PC case at 45c.
"The more power u get, the less stressed it will be while using and hence generally last longer." is incorrect. The better power supply you get, the less stressed it will be allowing it to last longer.
