After downloading motherboard drivers and installing them to the pc can I delete the folders in the file explorer downloads

Yes, you could make a backup copy to the flash drive you installed Windows from.

I downloaded the folders form the motherboard website and extracted them all and installed them and
in the download folder the motherboard folders are there so it fine to delete them

it's ok if you delete them after install it

but you may backup them if you need them one day

He will keep the compressed files (zip, rar, 7z ..etc).

unless the chipset driver is identical with the one from amd released last month,
i would dl and install that.

yes you can delete anything and everything from the Downloads folder after you have extracted, run or installed the program that was downloaded.

yeah, your fine.

Yes, you can.

When you install a program it goes into it's own installation path and doens't rely on the installation package. Very basic stuff.

Of course... you downloaded the package but didn't install it.

Think of it like a package delivery. You DL the file (get a package sent). Once it is done downloading (the box arrives at your house), you need to open the box (extract and install the applications) to use what is inside. Same concept. You only got the box on your doorstep.
