Can anyone help me try an unbrick this card? I have tried running NVFlash in Windows, the card is not recognised. Anyway i can fix it?

I got the card given off a friend, it looks like he has messed with both bios variations. Is there a way to unbrick it or should I just chuck it in the bin?

You seem hiding the vandalizing procedures that was made previously, contact ASUS and request out of warranty repair price quote.
If you disagree with the amount for inspection / repair , then keep it as souvenir.

Does how it was bricked or insinuating he is hiding something have any bearing on the fix? Honestly asking..?
I would assume if it is bricked and unrecognizable he may need the flasher tool everyone links here to clear the chip and reprogram it, no?
Maybe I am completely off base, but it is either fixable or not. No matter how it got to this point.

Never toss it in the bin, eBay is your friend even if it is bricked people pay good money for recent high end cards.
Or attempt a fix yourself by purchasing a CH341 Programmer which is fairly cheap.

I agree with the above, it's entirely possible to fix if it's only a borked BIOS - You've nothing to lose by trying.
As suggested get a CH341 programmer, learn how to set it up and use it.
You may well be suprised at the outcome once done.

There are arguments in nvflash to force the flash procedure, also does the card show up in the device manager?
As a last resort u can try to flash it with an external programmer, also check thoroughly for any damage on the pcb or on the gpu die.

ok here is the easy way to do it, get a linux distro usb, boot it live, hook screen to other gpu or igpu make sure you boot not loading gpu drivers, for maintenance mode then it'll show up the base id subsystem for it, nothing specific but you will be able to flash it tho, i've fixed many cards like this. give a shot
I did the same with my Zotac AMP. Didnt get recognized in Windows. But i used another GPU in PCIE1 and put the bricked card in PCIE2 on my motherboard. Then made a DOS version of NVflash and was able to force flash it from the DOS environment.
