I have been looking for a new GPU to replace my old one. Is it a good time to spend money to buy it? Is it the price worth to buy? I hope all guys here can give me suggestions.

What GPU do you have today?

Plus it would be great to know the rest of the system and it can be filled out here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/account/specs

Because why not go RTX 3060 when it releases? or maybe AMD's RDNA2 when they arrive?

Does your market have a history of price-dropping when new gen launches? In my market, old gen inventory just disappears off the face of the map.

Just checked ebay and people are looking to get >$600 for a used 2070. And $800-900 for 2080's.

Either people are smoking crack, wishful thinking, or just not paying attention to what's new in the market.

Wait till Navi's out and there are more new cards out there filling the void that Nvidia can't. People aren't going to start selling until they have something to replace it with.

Wait for the RTX 3060, it is rumored to have performance close to the RTX 2080
Oh it will be great card to buy... a year from now.

They already have serious problems delivering enough 3080's. There's still 3070 to come (which probably won't be available in 2020 at all) and you mention 3060, which will probably be announced in Q1 2021 and will have even greater demand (but in reality supply) issues.

OP - it's not a good time to buy last gen. It's not a good time to buy current gen also. You either end up paying too much for 20 series card or for 30 series that is way over msrp if it's even available.

Oh, buy these GPU in this year is a silly behavior. I think I asked a good question before buying these products.

They have a 1660s going by post history.
You know me for sure.

2070S, or vanilla 2070?

Not sure I'd buy the vanilla TU106 2070 at this point. The 2060S is cheaper and basically the exact same performance.

As for the 2070S, it's probably not going to change price because of Nvidia's 3000-series until Q2 next year because of the supply problems Nvidia are having. RDNA2 cards might change things though so I'd wait two weeks to see if we get reviews of the new AMD cards at that point. You'll either want to pick up a new AMD card or see if it shakes up the market. That might be the time to pick up a 2070S on ebay as people jump on Big Navi.

As a 2060S and 2070S owner, I'm not particularly impressed with Turing - it's overpriced and the 1st Gen RTX stuff is a huge disappointment that's little more than a tech demo. I play with RTX off on my RTX cards. High framerates and crisp full-resolution is way better than lower framerates and DLSS upscaling, even if it means the reflections aren't quite as good or the shadows aren't 100% correct. If you're stopping to take a detailed look at whether the shadow of a chair is relected accurately in a window you've stopped playing the game at that point and are just geeking out on minutae ;)
