Here is a way to install the AMD video driver only without all the other bloat, if that is what you want.

Download the AMD driver package, open that .exe with 7zip and you will see Bin64,Config,Packages and Setup.exe. Go into Packages and extract "Drivers". Use AMD cleanup utility to uninstall the AMD drivers, then reboot. Go into Device Manager and then expand "Display Adapters". It should say something like "Microsoft Basic Adapter". Click "Update Driver", "Browse my computer for driver software", then browse for that Driver folder you extracted with 7zip

I have tried it myself and it works fine.

yea, sometimes all you need just the driver and i dunno today driver has too many things which some don't need and they should package it on another installer

I am just not a fan of the other stuff that is with the AMD driver at all, just need driver. They need to have a driver with a simple(ish) control panel like Nvidia does. imo they would find a lot more people using that, than the full bloat version

agreed, I really dislike AMD graphics driver. Nvidia is very clean and simple.

No, i just think there is too much un needed stuff in the driver. a browser in a video driver come on. does anyone actually launch games from the driver control panel. it wouls be fine if there was an option to install what you need and not what you don't, plus driver only if you want.

I don't think the stuff like the big browser that give it the bloaty look are very old, I recall installing the Adrenalin some 2-3 years ago on a V64 and it looked less bloaty back then AFAIK.

But actually, you know what? I don't think I know of an interface that kept its same look and poor lag for some 20 years, which is the Nvidia driver. If this was 90's, early 2000's, and their cards were the best with no other actual alternatives for high end... you could have been ensured they might have left you with a CLI and called it a day, because they're Nvidia.

Yeah, I do this too. Here's hoping a variant of NVCleanstall could be made for AMD.

If anyone could make something like ATi Tray Tools like the old days would be great. I dont like too fancy UI, because most of us do is just to change some settings and thats it.
