Aoc 24g2u5
Ips 75hz

Samsung c24rg50
Va 144hz

The aoc looks absolutely amazing with better stand. And iam not a competitive gamer. Imean i dont like shooting games that much
So which one should i get?

Why not get the Aoc 144hz its only 30 more bucks at 179 where as the Samsung you don't care for is 199. That's the best of both worlds. You'll enjoy the extra hz. Plus, IPS looks much better than VA.

I had a 60Hz BenQ VA and it sucked so hard against IPS that I sold the former off almost immediately. The 3x better VA contrast ratio on paper nowhere compensates for it's nasty black crush, visibly bad pixel response time and off viewing angles.

This is probably the best advice you are going to get. I had some AOC monitors that were my primary monitors for 4 or 5 years. Now my wife is using them. They weren't the best monitors but they were good enough for me.

That looks like a really good monitor, thanks for the link. I bought an Acer KG251QF last year (Hardware Unboxed also did a review) which is a 24.5" 1080p 144hz monitor. I enjoy the slightly larger pixel pitch on the 24.5" panels as opposed to the 23.8" models with my no-as-good-as-they-used-to-be eyes . It's a TN panel though, so colour and viewing angles would definitely be better on the BenQ.

There's also acer 253q gp that uses same panel as benq and costs about the same. Its out of the box performance beats aoc in any settings plus those panels are of higher quality than panda used by aoc.

I had a choice between 144hz 1080 TN or 75hz 1440 IPS and i have chosen to go with the 1440 myself. as for your choice, i would go for the ips panel, so

Ips 75hz

I like the desktop on 1440, "I saw what it looks like on a friends PC" but my old eyes can only handle 1080. For some reason he said, when he used the 1440, it "seemed" like his machine took a performance hit. I'm still running 7 year old hardware, hopefully one day I can step up to 21st century hardware, but for now my machine performs real well, so it's hard to justify all new hardware to step up to a higher resolution, one I can't seem to read anyway, without a magnifying glass.

My 5700xt is fine for 1440 so i will be ok, probably i will get 75 on most games on max settings, so i'm ok with "only" 75hz refresh. You could always use a bigger font at 1440, but i do understand you need a decent gpu for 1440 gaming.

I'd go with the higher hz, but that's just me I've been using TN monitors for years and it's less than VA. I don't think the difference is enough visually between the IPS and VA monitor to make a difference, but the difference in hz is enough. I'd go with the VA monitor. But with that said you said you like the IPS monitor better because of the stand. Always go with what you like or you will always have in the back of your mind that you liked that feature and should have bought that monitor.. lol

A 32" 1440 monitor is pretty close to a 23" or 24" 1080 monitor. Plus, all you need to do is switch the scaling in Win anyway.

I had an Asus 27 inch 144hz TN monitor for a while, after that I bought a 32 inch 75hz VA monitor, also from Asus, returned it after 1 day and bought the monitor I still have, also 144hz, never want to go back to lower hz again.

I looked both up and ive seen the Samsung you are speaking of in stores before. Personally speaking of the two I would get the Samsung just for that higher refresh rate as even if you dont play shooters it makes things in all games much smoother. I generally am ok with good VA panels as the color reproduction is generally decent.

The best IPS panels look better the best TN and some other panel designs ... but at $179, manufacturers can't afford the better IPS panels. A quality "game worthy" IPS panel is a but too expensive for the typical price range for 24" 1080P monitors. I'd start my search here:

The AoC 24G2U5 uses a Panda IFZO Type 6 Bit + 2 FRC panel (LC238LF1F (TPV238WF1)

Be wary of published response times ... not that they just always pull them out of the thing that makes ther seat warm, but those that don't redefine what response time is so that they can publish better numbers.
