FanHub/Controller

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good Fan hub/Controller to me, ive been looking on Amazon and eBay and altho there are lots, reading the reviews leads me to believe that most of them are pretty much junk.

Just transplanted my system into a new case but it doesnt come with a fan hub unfortunatly, i currently have 3 extra fans and possibly may get another 1 or 2 fans (120mm).

3 front 120mm RGB fans that come with the case are fine

1 rear 120mm fan (3 pin)
2 top 120mm fans (3 pin)

Possibly may add 1 or 2 more fans fitted to the top of the PSU shroud as well.
I know i could probably buy a couple of splitters but i think a hub would look a bit better and be better for the future, It doesnt need to be a huge hub ie supporting 10 fans or more, i think 4-6 would be plenty.
Also heard some brands of hubs/controllers only work with certain fans? not sure if this is true, been out of the PC building loop for many years, back when RGB/Tempered glass and fancy cable management etc didnt really exist, so would like it to look ok and be tidy.

So if anyone has any recommendations it would be a great help.

Yep its mostly that the software they use for them is bloated junk NXZT/Corsair, your best bet is to just use your motherboards headers and control the fans via the bios.
According to the spec sheet for your board you have 1 CPU fan header and 4 system fan headers, general rule of thumb is 1 amp per fan header so you can use some fan splitters to connect two or more fans to a single header as long as you dont exceed the 1 amp limit and your fans should have a power draw rating in amps stamped on the back of them.

The only thing you need to know about fan compatibility is that 4 pin is PWM and 3 pin is DC voltage control in the bios settings you will be able to select which type is connected to which header.
As far as any RGB fans go generally they have a separate connector for the RGB which is either RGB 4pin 12v or ARGB 3pin 5v they they are not interchangeable and most controllers only support one or the other,
Your motherboard only supports the RGB 4pin 12v type the lancool II RGB controller supports the other type ARGB 3pin 5v

Also I have the same case as you only the non RGB version to be completely honest 3 120's at the front and a single 120 at the rear should be more than enough airflow I dont think more fans will help cooling all that much and may actually make it worse.
I would run the 4 fans you have off the motherboard headers and have them change speed based on your CPU temp.

I have to ask, why do you think you need so many fans? You said the case came with 3. Are your temps still too high with those?

Many thanks, very helpful, i am having to run 1 fan on the Pump header as not enough fan headers on the board, maybe a couple of decent fan splitters would do the trick and save me having to mess about hunting for a hub.. will have to have a think.

No, far from it tbh , my temps have dropped a good 10c under load since transplanting my system over.

Idle - 35-45c
Load - 72c (running a cinebench r23 all cores test)

In old case temps were

Idle - 40-50c
Load - 83c (running a cinebench r23 all cores test)

3 Intake at the front and 3 exhaust, 1 rear and 2 at the top currently, i dont think thats anything unusual compared to most people.
Just seen a lot of You tube videos of this case and most seem to have 2 more fans on the bottom shroud, i simply thought more cant hurt lol

Get a few cheap pwm fan splitters off Amazon job done easy and well.

And I'm running a Corsair commander and tried others.

I had a Scythe 4 knob fan controller I used with y-extensions to do 2 fans per channel. I'm sure it would handle 3 fans per channel, i dont recall the specs exactly.

I currently use a phanteks fan hub ( came with the case ) that I had14 fans on it ( just for funzies) and connected to the cpu_opt header.
