Bestbuy stocked with them today long enough for me to grab an RTX 3060ti & a RTX 3090. it was precarious for a bit, it would show in stock, but it made you jump through a bunch of hoops to weed out bots, etc.

at the micorcenter in my area, the GPU stock is never great. it always seems to be AMD heavy, & limited at best, going back decades.

Stalking bestbuy for a nvidia gpu is not going to happen I prefer evga gpu's and micro center usually will stock some eventually then I'll pounce on one.

if you sign up for EVGA notify, & prices rise, they will honor the lower price if you make payment before april i believe.
i agree, im not a fan of paying increased prices, i paid straight msrp for the two i got today. but discounted prices wont be for a while yet, & my kid needs a GPU, because he's using my 2080ti currently & i also want it back.

Uhhh... it takes months to change mass-production lines.

This will either take months to happen, or NVidia started to make these changes months ago and just didn't tell us about them.

Nvidia knew of shortages coming last fall. the industry is an oil tanker, it takes time, since components are made from multiple companies, even more.

i reached out to bestbuy support through their chat, & spoke with a guy for a bit, he gave me a "secret" hint that this weekend would be a good time to keep an eye on the site, he wasnt wrong.

I wanted a RX6800 for my new build, but settled today for a 3060TI for 500 today. I was able to order the EVGA FTW3 from bestbuy. I have been trying to get a newer generation card for 5 weeks now...not buying another GPU until 2026! I got my R290 in 2014.

the 6900XT looks really good. the performance seems on point, & the price is low compared to nvidias lineup. if the numbers hold true it will be a easy pick when inventory goes back to normal

I've not seen the video. But if the gpu shortage is soon over that is really good news.

Then those crappy scalpers can not use the situation for there own selfish gain and miners hopefully become less a problem as well not gulping up all of the cards as soon they come in stock. And off cause get then to MSRP.

But I want to see it happen for real, before I put a smile on my face.

i was serious when i said Bestbuy will be updating stock all weekend. i screen shot this 30 seconds ago.

just find the cards youre interested in buying, click "save item" then you can watch them all on one page, together in your saved items list.

AIB's are bringing back RTX 2060 and 2060 Super. It has nothing to do with restocking the RTX 3000 cards.

In context of the title of the thread, i can say with no doubt, RTX3x series cards have become available in the last 24 hours, where they were not available previously for 2 weeks+ on Bestbuy. The reason i know this is because i personally saw many different versions of the RTX 3XXX series available for purchase throughout today. Both AIB & reference design, from 3060ti to 3090's & i personally bought 2 myself with no bots, or scalper programs, thats a sign inventory is increasing.

i also heard mention of nvidia re-supply RTX 2xxx cards to AIB's, but im not personally aware of an influx of any fresh cards of that make. i can only speak for my personal experience, but i can say i know for a fact others got 3 series cards today as well.

im not saying you are wrong or i am right, im just pointing out my experience. it a good sign for all of us

My theory is that manufacturers are using the crisis to jack up prices of hardware, especially GPUs. Sadly I think they plan on keeping the pricing that is right now, and in the future. Enthuasist PCs have been close to luxury, but they definitely are right now.

i didnt.

Back in Stock notifications are not effective when bots, scalpers & regular customers are trolling sites, hovering, waiting. Inventory depletes in a few minutes, & Auto notify takes a handful of hours some times just to tell you the item is in stock, so in this climate you'd never get the notification in the first place. i learned if i wanted to obtain a card, i couldnt rely on notifications.

After realizing that, it became a matter of manually refreshing pages endlessly. most often i did it from my desktop, I realized Newegg was hopeless, so i focused on BestBuy. Im currently stuck at home, so it was a matter of using one of my monitors for refreshing. I got information that Bestbuy would be getting inventory, so i just kept doing what i had been doing. through Friday & Saturday , 3 Series cards of all types came up for sale on many occasions through a 24-48 hour period. Just to put this in context, i spent almost 3 weeks, endlessly refreshing bestbuy & neweggs product pages. Bestbuy put several added steps in place, that is im guessing meant to deter the use of bots. It seems to have helped, & i paid MSRP (actual Nvidia MSRP) for both of my cards.

I was doing the same thing but...I found a live feed on tube that has sound alerts when the cards become available from different vendors. I saw an heard the alerts Friday and bought a 3060TI FTW3 from best buy...was over in like hour and half.

yeah, im aware there are 3rd party alert services, they seem to help some people, but as you were getting that notification, so were every other person using that service. It wasnt over in 90 minutes though, it went from Noon Friday EST, in to Saturday afternoon. had i wanted, i couldve gotten 5 cards, but i dont think that would be allowed, & i wouldnt feel right about it either.

as long as people who need them get the card theyre looking for, its good in my eyes
